continued to practice the<br />
marimba. She took him to<br />
many, many places, such as<br />
the Adler Planetarium, the<br />
Museum of Science of Industry,<br />
the Brookfield Zoo,<br />
Navy Pier and the Northbrook<br />
Court playland about<br />
a hundred times.<br />

“This is my third year<br />
of doing this,” said GBN<br />
junior Amira McBeath. “I<br />
love interacting with kids<br />
from the other school. I’ve<br />
made a lot of friends.”<br />

Brinati also has appeared<br />
in the Glenbrook Festival<br />
of Music every year he<br />
has been in high school.<br />
“We always do ‘Battle<br />
Hymn of the Republic’ at<br />
the end,” he said. “That’s<br />
my favorite part of the<br />
concert.”<br />
