The bread of God
Julie Sanders
New Lenox resident
Why do you seek me, Jesus
said
Because you were filled
with bread?
Not because of wonders and
signs
You seek Me wrongly, being
blind.
Do not labor for food which
spoils
For eternal food you should
toil
The work of God is to
“believe”
In the One He sent, do
receive.
In the Old Testament, Moses
said
Manna from Heaven, you’ll
be fed
Amongst the early morning
dew
Take what’s needed, this
spoils too.
The bread of God is from
Heaven
Jesus Christ is the true
leaven
Gives life to the world, who
repent
Believe, trust in Him, who
was sent.
“I am the bread of life” He
decrees
He who comes to Me, not
be hungry
He who believes in Me, not
thirst
Will circumcise sin’s deepest
curse.
All that the Father gives
Me, comes
None of these shall I lose,
not one
I’ll raise them up on the last
day
Eternal life for believers,
stay.
Do not murmur among
yourselves
The Father must draw you
to Myself
By God, these shall be
taught
Those learned from God, be
bought.
Your fathers ate Manna,
later died
It fed the body, the soul
deprived
I offer you the life giving
bread
Feeds the soul in which I
bled.
