EASTER HOLIDAY FUN AT THE PARK
Warmer weather and longer days
make it easier to scramble your way
around the Queen Elizabeth Olympic
Park this Easter. Visitors will be spoilt
for choice with plenty of things to do at
the Park – whatever your age or interest.
Start the holidays on a high at The
ArcelorMittal Orbit. The adventure starts
with a journey up to the viewing
platform, hovering 80 metres above the
ground for stunning skyline views of
London. Or, if you’re craving that shellshocked
feeling, upgrade your ticket and
descent back down to Earth in The Slide
at ArcelorMittal Orbit. The exhilarating
ride takes you through 12 twists, loops
and curves in the 178 meter long tunnel,
which makes it both the highest and
longest tunnel slide in the world!
Taking place throughout the entire
Easter holidays (and beyond!), the
popular funfair will take over Stratford
Waterfront from 30 March to 7 May.
Bringing a collection of exciting and
adrenaline-fuelled rides, children can
prepare for hours of energy-filled fun
with dodgems, jumping frogs and
carousels galore.
Visitors to the Park could also take
the family to the London Aquatics Centre
and duck, jump, run and dive off the
large inflatable obstacle course at the
Aqua Splash and Extreme Aqua Splash
sessions.
The popular boat tours and swan
pedalos will also return on 30 March.
Relax and unwind on a guided boat tour
along the river than runs through the
Park and learn more about the beautiful
landscape and iconic venues in the Park.
Or, let loose on the swan pedalos and
entertain yourself on the river.
There are hundreds of acres of
beautiful parklands at the Park, which
you can explore on trails and in the
playgrounds.
And, the sporty ones amongst us
who want to relive the 2012 Games can
measure themselves up against the
world’s best athletes on the London
2012 walkway.
