Awarding
volunteers
We recently celebrated the dedication
and contribution of our amazing
volunteers at a special awards
ceremony. Across the organisation we
have nearly 500 volunteers and during
April they clocked up an astonishing
4,446 hours volunteering as
receptionists, serving supper, driving
our patients, selling collectibles on
eBay, gardening, flower arranging,
ironing and counselling. Thank you!
Fundraising and shopping
Thames Hospice has received over £680 simply from supporters shopping
online via the website easyfundraising.org.uk We receive donations when
people register to support us and shop online through the site… and you
don’t pay anything extra! There are over 2,700 online retailers available,
including Amazon, John Lewis, eBay and Tesco. All you have to do is:

• When you’re asked to choose your cause, select Thames Hospice
• Get shopping – it couldn’t be easier!
Golden
Jubilee Trust
The John Lewis Partnership
established the Golden Jubilee
Trust to give charities the
opportunity to benefit from the
skills of its workforce. Thanks
to the Trust, Marianne Bradshaw,
a Finance Manager from Waitrose,
will be joining us for six months
of voluntary work. She will help
us develop a volunteer programme
to maximise fundraising from
our shops. If you can spare a
few hours a week helping out
in one of our shops, please visit
