New Haven Food Policy Council (NHFPC) is excited to announce a monthly potluck<br />

called <strong>Stir</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Pot</strong> that centers food, activism, community, and all New Haven has<br />
series<br />
<strong>the</strong> millions who marched since January 2017 demonstrate, activism is <strong>the</strong> new normal.<br />
As<br />
<strong>the</strong> <strong>Pot</strong> is based on <strong>the</strong> book by Julia Turshen called Feed <strong>the</strong> Resistance, a practical<br />
<strong>Stir</strong><br />
inspiring handbook for political activism, with recipes. When people search for ways<br />
and<br />
resist injustice and express support for civil rights, environmental protections, and<br />
to<br />
progressive values, <strong>the</strong>y begin by ga<strong>the</strong>ring around <strong>the</strong> table to talk and plan.<br />

hopes by starting each potluck with an interactive cooking session, hearing a New<br />

food visionary speaking about <strong>the</strong>ir passion in food, and engaging in dialogue<br />
