Welcome... 

We are excited to bring you one of our biggest summer 

programmes yet with a whopping 9 brand new shows and a 

total of 25 shows between May and August. 

Starting the summer season off is the first of our brand 

new shows, Walk Right Back, a unique tribute to the 

famous duo the Everly Brothers. In June we welcome Les 

Musicals starring Jonathan Ansell and Rhydian Roberts. 

Jonathan and Rhydian join forces for the first time to 

showcase their vocal talent singing smash hit songs from 

the greatest musicals. This is followed by award winning 

comedian, actor and entertainer Billy Pearce who will be 

bringing laughter to our theatre with his strictly adults only 

live show. For the music fans come along and enjoy an 

unforgetable evening with tributes to music legends George 

Michael, Bob Marley, Buddy Holly, Madonna and Kate Bush. 

With such a vast selection of music genres we are sure there 

is something to suit all tastes. 

We are also pleased to welcome the return of the talented 

Joe McElderry, psychic phenomenon Derek Acorah, The 

Johnny Cash Roadshow and Navi to name just a few. 

If your children love a fairy tale then come along to the 

briliant live show Milkshake Live ‘The Magic Storybook’ 

where audiences will be taken on a journey through the 

worlds greatest fairy tales starring Milkshake favourites Bob 

The Builder, Little Princess, Noddy plus many more. 

I am sure you will agree it is a summer not to be missed 

and the team at the Princes Theatre shall look forward to

Walk Right Back tells the story of the most successful duo of all time - The Everly Brothers. 

Featuring hits such as Bye Bye Love, All I Have To Do Is Dream & Cathy’s Clown, this unique 

concert-based musical entwines the wonderful, sad yet glorious story of The Everly Brothers 

around those trademark “harmonies from heaven”.

rousing selection from Last Night of The Proms, Old Time Sing Alongs, Great British Show Tunes, 

and ever popular favourites from the “40’s, 50’s & 60’s”. 

Mixed with 50 stunning costume changes and a uniquely patriotic stage set. 

Two hours of brilliant nostalgia ending with a spectacular flag waving finale. Including a live 

poppy drop, the last post as we remember the fallen, and all sing those wonderful Songs That 

Won the War, as we commemorate the centenary of the end of The First World War.

Please be aware that in addition to Tendring District Council offering a free car park permit 

for every household in the District, the Council is operating Free after 6.00pm parking 

for everyone. All TDC car parks (except The Naze and Holland Haven) are free from 

6.00pm to 8.00am. The High Street car park opposite the Princes Theatre, accessible from 

Carnarvon Road has space for up to 200 cars all evening, ground level only. The car park is 

well lit and also covered by CCTV and regular security patrols.

Tickets for shows are available from the Box Office in the Town 

Hall, Visitor Information Centre. You can visit in person or by 

telephone on 01255 686633 or online at www.princestheatre. 

co.uk. Tickets are also available to buy at the Box Office on 

the night of the performance, but it is always best to phone 

first to be sure. We accept all major credit and debit cards 

except American Express. You can also buy online at www. 

princestheatre.co.uk (subject to booking fee). Doors open 45 

mins before show time (unless stated otherwise). 

ORGANISE A GROUP NIGHT OUT 

Why not organise a group night out for friends and family or 

work colleagues? We can offer group booking discounts at many 

performances and will provide you with publicity and other

Bar – Our bar is open 45 minutes before the performance and 

during intervals. A wide selection of drinks are available as 

well as a selection of crisps, nuts, tea and coffee. We also offer 

advance ordering to avoid the interval rush.

A selection of sweets and ice creams are available for purchase 

prior to the commencement of the show and during the interval.

number of National Theatres including his Summer season at the Blackpool Grand Theatre, 

and his Christmas panto appearance at the Bradford Alhambra, where the Theatre took a bank

Billy even trod the boards of Musical Theatre appearing alongside Jimmy Osmond in the smash 

hit musical ‘Boogie Nights’. He followed this by having a stint as narrator in the ‘Rocky Horror 

Show’.A fine actor, Billy has also appeared on numerous shows, including ITV’s ‘Heartbeat’ and 

the award winning BBC drama ‘The Street’.
