Dublin welcomes the 4th Intern<strong>at</strong>ional Conference on<br />

Ocean Energy (<strong>ICOE</strong>), the global marine energy event<br />

focused on the industrial development of renewable<br />

marine energy. Hosted by the Sustainable Energy<br />

Authority of Ireland (SEAI) in partnership with European<br />

Ocean Energy Associ<strong>at</strong>ion and the IEA-OES, the goal<br />

of the conference and exhibition is to share recent<br />

experiences from research and demonstr<strong>at</strong>ion eff orts.<br />

It aims to acceler<strong>at</strong>e the development by stimul<strong>at</strong>ing<br />

collabor<strong>at</strong>ion networks between companies and<br />

research and development centres.<br />

<strong>ICOE</strong> on the River<br />

Over 750 intern<strong>at</strong>ional experts and world-leading<br />

companies in ocean energy will g<strong>at</strong>her <strong>at</strong> this iconic<br />

loc<strong>at</strong>ion <strong>at</strong> the w<strong>at</strong>erfront in Ireland’s capital city. Some<br />

of the vessels on the river for <strong>ICOE</strong> <strong>2012</strong> include vessels<br />

from the Irish Naval Service, Marine Institute and the<br />

Commissioners of Irish Lights.<br />

<strong>ICOE</strong> <strong>2012</strong> is expecting demonstr<strong>at</strong>ions and displays,<br />

along with working kit from ocean energy and rel<strong>at</strong>ed<br />

sectors either in the river or nearby. If you are interested<br />

in demonstr<strong>at</strong>ing your technology and developments<br />

on the river or docklands we can assist in the<br />

organis<strong>at</strong>ion of this.<br />

A number of rel<strong>at</strong>ed events will take place over the<br />

three days of the conference, including a welcome<br />

reception on Wednesday 17th and a gala dinner in the<br />

renowned Trinity College Dublin on Thursday 18th.<br />

Once the formal proceedings end, deleg<strong>at</strong>es will have<br />

the opportunity to take a guided tour to the OpenHydro<br />

factory in Co. Louth and the MCT Seagen turbine in<br />

Strangford Lough.<br />
