FINISHES Ku-Rust This finish enhances the darkness of the steel and displays the beauty and quality of the hand-crafted ironwork to full effect. It gives a more natural look and feel than painting. This is a beautiful finish for interior pieces. However we do not recommend this finish for exterior use. Linseed Oil A traditional finish dating back to the 18th century, linseed is used to preserve ironwork and is proven to be slightly more durable than traditional beeswax. We would only recommend this finish for interior use as regular maintenance would be required for external pieces. This finish has similar characteristics to a beeswax finish but with a more lustrous and clear appearance. Beeswax To create this finish the completed ironwork is heated in the fire and individually dipped into a hot liquid beeswax mixture. This is a traditional finish, recommended mainly for interior use, as exterior use requires the regular reapplication of wax. The finish is aesthetically pleasing to the eye, allowing the ironwork to showcase its natural appearance. Antique Aged This finish offers a rustic aesthetic effect and can help bring a stylish industrial feel to any piece.
