Condenser Microphone Order # 441.228 

The MC 834 condenser microphone features a extremely linear 

frequency curve and a frequency response of 20 to 20,000 Hz. 

Due to its cardioid polar pattern it has an enourmously high gainbefore-feedback. 

Without pre-attenuation the microphone has a SPL capability of 

130 dB, with pre-attenuation up to 150 dB. The MC 834 offers a 

dynamic that cannot be reached by many digital recording system 

so far. The microphone has a balanced output and can be powered 

by phantom power between 11 and 52 V. 

The MC 834 is an universal studio microphone to be used for 

recordings, both lead and back-up vocals, voice-overs, miking of 

pianos, strings and brass instruments. It is also best suited to the 

home recording artist.

The MC 840 is a compact studio microphone with a large goldvaporised 

double diaphragm and five selectable polar patterns 

(omnidirectional, wide cardioid, cardioid, hypercardioid, 

figure-eight). On the basis of the MC 740 microphone capsule this 

extraordinary microphone has been equipped with an improved 

low-noise pre-amplifier and a transformerless output stage. 

Due to a two-stage roll-off filter (at 80 or 160 Hz) compensating for 

the proximity effect and a two-stage pre-attenuation (-10 or 

-20 dB) the MC 840 is a superior microphone for any recording 

application. It has been designed without compromise to capture 

every sound detail with absolute clarity and purity. 

Applications for the MC 840 include recording orchestras resulting 

in a superb transparent sound.

CK 930 

Condenser Microphone Set 

With the CK 930 audio specialist beyerdynamic presents an extremely compact true 

condenser microphone capsule combined with a remote pre-amplifier. The CK 930 

was optimised for both most accurate sound reproduction and smallest dimensions. 

Its large signal-to-noise-ratio and flat frequency response with a slight HF-boost ensure 

a natural reproduction of nearly every instrument or voice. Outstanding off-axis rejection 

of the cardioid capsule reduces the risk of feedback, when used in sound reinforcement 

applications, to an absolute minimum. A switchable 15 dB pad and the CK 930’s high 

sensitivity making it a perfect miking solution. Mentioning TV news rooms or small 

spaced orchestra pits just limit the impressive variety of applications for the CK 930. 

The CK 930 set is offered in two different versions: The CK 930 3/8"-set for stand or 

hanging ceiling mounting comprises the CK 930 true condenser microphone capsule, 

the CV 900 remote pre-amplifier, a connection cable (3 m), and a microphone clamp. 

The CK 930 T-set to use as a roundtable or boundary microphone is supplied with the

MC 930 


This high-quality, universal condenser microphone features an 

exceptional price/performance ratio. Outstanding characteristics of 

the MC 930 are the wide frequency response of 40 - 20,000 Hz 

and a signal-to-noise ratio of 71 dB. The MC 930 is suitable for 

miking choirs, orchestras and solo instruments. Due to the switchable 

pre-attenuation of -15 dB it provides excellent performance even at 

high sound pressure levels. 

The switchable bass roll-off filter with 6 dB/octave at 250 Hz 

compensates for proximity effects. With the WS 101 windscreen 

the MC 930 can be used for vocal applications and speech. 

The MC 930 is phantom powered (11 - 52 V) and is suitable for live 

and studio applications, as well as for permanent installations. 

Due to its cardioid polar pattern, the MC 930 has a high gain-beforefeedback 

and eliminates noise from the rear. It is not only a first-class 

tool for studios, but also for sound contracting systems, where excellent 

sound and maximum gain-before-feedback is required. Exceptional 

XY stereo recordings may be achieved by using two MC 930 microphones.

The MCE 530 is a cardioid condenser microphone suitable for both 

project studios and home recording applications. It consists of a lightweight, 

but rugged, plastic casing strengthened with carbon fibres. Its 

small and short design permits flexible and unobtrusive positioning. 

The microphone is powered by phantom power between 12 and 48 V. 

The frequency response of the MCE 530 has been optimised for miking 

instruments and choirs. Using the WS 53 windscreen the MCE 530 is an 

ideal speaker’s microphone in churches and halls. 

Exceptional XY stereo recordings may be achieved using two MCE 530 

microphones with the adjustable MAV 802 mounting for two microphones. 

Therefore the MCE 530 is also available as a matched microphone 

pair with useful accessories in a rugged plastic case.

STUDIO MICROPHONES

M 99 

Dynamic Microphone Order # 445.394 

The M 99 is a dynamic moving coil microphone of 

studio quality. The tailored frequency response suits 

many applications from instrument miking to on-air 

broadcasting. The beyerdynamic TG-X technology used 

in the M 99 features a strong Neodymium magnet 

system and a mass reduced special Hostaphan ® 

diaphragm to give the microphone a powerful 

reproduction with excellent transient characteristics. 

The frequency response is extremely linear and 

guarantees audio quality which until now, has only 

been achieved by using high-quality condenser microphones. 

The filter select-switch at the base of the microphone 

allows three settings of equalisation: linear and two 

optimised settings for vocals and instrument miking. 

A second switch is for presence accentuation. This 

allows further adjustment for close miking techniques or 

kick drum miking. The hypercardioid polar pattern helps 

to eliminate feedback in live applications and allows a 

good separation between different instruments. The microphone 

can operate at very high sound pressure levels 

without loss of sound quality and virtually no distortion. 

The M 99’s die-cast housing is made of aircraft grade 

aluminium and finished with an attractive metallic 

varnish.

The M 260 is used for vocals and miking instruments at broadcast, 

recording and film studios. Its flat frequency response and natural, 

warm “ribbon“ sonic profile make it a highly effective element of 

the digital recording process. 

The hypercardioid polar pattern provides an extremely high gainbefore-feedback 

and elimination of lateral noise. The M 260 is 

equipped with a built-in high-pass-filter which compensates the

Dynamic Microphones 

The M 59 is a rugged, vocal quality dynamic microphone employing 

enhanced-field magnet technology designed to withstand the critical 

demands of in-studio or on-location ENG/EFP applications. The microphone’s 

low mass, large diaphragm Macrolon element and hypercardioid 

polar pattern provides very fast transient response, high output, high 

sensitivity, with startlingly accurate reproduction of the sound source while 

also providing excellent off-axis rejection. Each M 59 incorporates a 

sophisticated internal shock-mount isolation system designed to reduce 

stand, boom, or handheld noise, and vibration. 

Its durable construction and non-glare finish will provide consistent 

protection against the rigors of on-air and on-location ENG/EFP production 

applications. The M 59 also encorporates an internal multi-stage blast filter 

designed to reduce undesirable wind or pop noise. An optional WS 59 large 

cell windscreen is also available and recommended for on-air, voice-over 

and other close talking applications. 

The M 59 is designed to meet the critical demands of studio on-the-air or 

studio voice-overs while also meeting the rigors of on-location ENG/EFP 

news. Due to its high gain-before-feedback the M 59 is ideal for lecterns

The MCE 58 condenser microphone has been specially developed for 

interviewing and broadcasting. 

Its unbalanced output supplies a high level which allows direct 

connection to mobile DAT and MD recorders. The elastic suspension 

of the transducer element eliminates unwanted handling noise and 

the-built-in active filters suppress unwanted low-frequency noise such 

as traffic rumble. The MCE 58 has a frequency response curve which 

has been optimised for excellent intelligibility of speech. The non-glare

Stereo Condenser Microphones 

The MCE 72 versions are compact stereo microphones for XY recording with a wide 

and linear frequency response producing uncoloured, high-quality recordings. The 

MCE 72 microphones are suitable for stereo recording in home studio applications, 

concert recordings with DAT or MD, film, video and interviewing. For musicians the 

MCE 72 are excellent microphones for assessing performance in rehearsals, production 

and concerts. For stereo ambient sound recording, they are suitable for direct 

connection to most camcorders, DAT and MD recorders. The MCE 72 versions have 

two microphone capsules that are mounted in an angle of ±60° to the microphone 

axis to achieve a wide recording range and an accurate reproduction of the sound 

source. 

The optional EA 19/25 elastic suspension suppresses handling sound effectively. 

Using the optional special EA 86 elastic suspension with a flash holder, the MCE 72 

can be mounted onto the “hot shoe” of a camcorder directly but remains isolated 

from noise caused by the video head and the drive. 

MCE 72 is available in three versions: The MCE 72 and MCE 72 CAM are powered 

by a standard 1.5 V battery (AA-size). An LED indicates when the battery needs to be 

replaced. The MCE 72 PV CAM is phantom powered between 11 and 52 V. By using 

the plug-in cable the microphone is connected to the appropriate device.

MCE 82

The MCE 82 is a stereo microphone for XY-recording. 

It is suitable for stereo recording in ENG/EFP applications, 

reporting, film, video, interviewing, and home recording. 

The MCE 82 has two condenser capsules with cardioid polar 

patterns, which are mounted at an angle of ± 45° of the 

microphone axis. This allows a wide recording range and an 

accurate reproduction of the sound source. The MCE 82 has 

a flat linear frequency response for neutral miking with the 

highest sound quality. 

Due to its compact and rugged metal housing, the MCE 82 is 

an ideal microphone for mobile applications. The elastic suspension 

of the condenser capsules suppresses handling and cable 

noise. A switchable bass filter eliminates wind noise and rumble. 

The MCE 82 can be operated with any phantom supply 

between 12 and 48 V. If phantom supply is not available, the 

MCE 82 can also be powered by a 1.5 V battery. A LED indicates 

the battery condition.

be used for digital audio recordings on PCs and is ideal for recording conferences, meetings 

or round table discussions. Depending on the application, you can choose between three 

operating modes: On/Off, Push To Talk or Push To Mute. Furthermore, the frequency response 

can be tailored for use in two modes: linear or 150 Hz bass roll-off to reduce low-frequency

Shotgun Condenser Microphone 

The MCE 86 II shotgun microphones can be used for video recordings, lecterns or 

theatre applications. The microphones are extremely lightweight and rugged and 

therefore ideal for mounting onto cameras or camcorders. They can be used for 

outdoor applications and in studios with fish pole booms or as handhelds. 

The electrostatic transducer element and the hypercardioid/lobe polar pattern result 

in an excellent polar pattern with high sensitivity. Due to its construction and integrated 

active filter the microphone is insensitive towards wind and vibrations caused by 

zoom motors. Each sound source is reproduced absolute clearly. 

The MCE 86 II can be powered from a balanced phantom power source. If phantom 

power is not available the MCE 86 II S version should be used. This microphone can 

be phantom powered or battery powered with an integrated 1.5 V battery. The 

MCE 86 S II can also be connected to unbalanced XLR or mini jack inputs. Each 

MCE 86 II version has an electronic balanced output, allowing the operation with 

long cables. 

All battery powered versions have an On/Off switch and battery condition LED. 

The average battery expectancy is 80 hours. There are two different elastic 

suspensions available suppressing handling noise or vibrations of zoom motors. 

The EA 86 elastic suspension can be mounted directly onto the camera. At its bottom 

the EA 86 has a 3/8" internal thread for the mounting on stands or fish pole booms. 

The flash-holder adapter BS 86 allows optimal positioning on every camera. 

The EA 19/25 is supplied with the MKV 11 microphone clamp and enables the 

mounting on standard stands or fish pole booms with 3/8"thread. 

The special camera set MCE 86 S II CAM includes an elastic suspension EA 86 with 

BS 86, a foam windscreen WS 716 and a short connecting cable for direct camera 

mounting, an ideal solution for consumer cameras.

Shotgun Condenser Microphones 

The rugged and lightweight MC 836 and MC 837 shotgun microphones 

have been designed to meet the demands of ENG and EFP applications. 

Due to their acoustical characteristics they are also suited for film 

applications. The directional polar pattern helps to suppress lateral and 

background noise. 

Both microphones operate according to the pressure gradient/line 

transducer technique. A switchable low frequency roll-off eliminates 

unwanted low frequencies at a cut-off frequency of 90 Hz. An integrated 

handling noise insulation avoids the transmission of noise below 40 Hz. 

To avoid wind noise when used outdoors, a windscreen must be used. 

Both microphones can be operated with a phantom power supply of 

11 - 52 V.

The MCE 55 is an extremely small clip-on microphone to suit all applications which call for

The rugged, portable KE 800 UHF receiver has been designed for camera applications and 

can be operated easily and intuitively. The PLL-synthesised technology ensures a great 

frequency agility. The KE 800 has 100 pre-programmed frequencies and is ideal for use with 

the transmitters of Opus 300 series of wireless systems. With the „Auto Scan/ ACT“ function 

the receiver searches for an interference-free frequency to transmit it via infra red to the 

matching handheld or pocket transmitter and lock it in automatically. 

True diversity, the pilot tone recognition and an adjustable squelch ensure a safe reception, 

free from any noise and without signal dropouts even in the most unpredictable operating

Professional wireless system for

The PC-controllable UHF-system Opus 900 is the flagship of beyerdynamic wireless 

systems and was designed to meet the rigorous operating criteria of multi-channel 

system for professional applications for touring, broadcasting and permanent 

installations. Besides the proven and tested beyerdynamic audio quality and 

reliability, the system features a high ruggedness and intuitive reliability. 

Receiver NE 900 S / D / Q 

The professional NE 900 true diversity receiver is offered as single, double or quad receiver 

unit with 99 pre-programmed UHF frequencies resp. the possibility to program 960 

free frequencies (within 24 MHz in 25 kHz steps) and can be operated with up to 15 

simultaneous channels per frequency band without any interference. (Depending on local 

HF-environment.) The receivers all feature a monitoring headphone output with volume 

control, an engineer-friendly “jog wheel” for fast access and reconfiguration of the 

system parameters (e.g. output and squelch level, channel mute, user name, lock function 

for control elements), and pilot tone recognition for improved operating reliability. The 

clear multicolour LC display indicates AF- and RF-level, battery status (5-stage), diversity 

channel (A/B), frequency/ group/ channel, user name, squelch level, and remote On/Off. 

The dual and quad receivers also feature an intergrated antenna splitter. 

Further features are 9,5"/ 1 HU (NE 900 S) or 19"/ 1 HU metal housing (NE 900 D and Q), 

AutoScan/ACT function for automatic frequency setting and synchronisation of receivers 

and transmitters, balanced 3-pin XLR output per channel, jack output (only NE 900 S), 

rear-panel remote connection IN/OUT to interface further receivers and to control the

WIRELESS SYSTEMS

Pocket transmitters 

Two choices of compact pocket transmitters are available. The TS 900 M (metal housing) 

and TS 900 C (plastic housing) have been designed for multifunctional touring, broadcasting 

applications and in permanent installations. Using the ACT infra red interface the selected 

frequency can be transmitted from the receiver to the transmitter. 

The LC-Display clearly indicates the selected channel/group and the battery status (5-stage). 

The 4-pin mini XLR input connector is utilized for the connection of microphones or instruments. 

For a great number of microphones and instruments the signals can be matched to 

an optimum level by using the gain control. With the MT-/GT-switch it is possible to select 

between microphones and instruments. In the GT-mode (GT for guitar) the gain control is 

inactive, in the MT-mode it is active. 

A cost-saving plus is the surpassing operating time with 20 hours or more with just two 

1.5 V AA batteries and approx. 14 hours with rechargeable batteries. With only 155 g both 

models are real lightweight.

Professional 5.1 Monitoring Headphone System 

Headzone ® PRO is the first mobile headphone system that allows professional monitoring with 

virtual 5.1 reproduction. With the help of the most up-to-date digital signal processing (DSP), 

“Binaural Environment Modelling” technology and patented ultrasonic-headtracking the 

system achieves an audio impression which is equivalent to a genuine 5.1 loudspeaker

distance from the listener, the size and also the acoustic qualities of the room. So it’s you who

Headtracking 

Headtracking for perfect localisation and constant spatial awareness 

Headzone ® makes sound an experience. Through the use of the ultrasonic-headtracker system, 

Headzone ® permanently detects the position of your head and adapts the source audio playback 

position accordingly. Unlike traditional headphones turning your head does not affect the 

localisation of Headzone’s ® sound. As in a real environment, when using Headzone ® the virtual 

speaker or sound source is located in front of, next to or behind you depending on how you 

turn your head, therefore simulating the “sweet spot” in your control room. The result is so

enable surround loudspeakers to be set up correctly and the small 

project studio which cannot afford the costly surround installation and

The DT 48 is designed for use in ENG/EFP applications as part of the standard equipment

The DT 250 is a lightweight, closed dynamic headphone, which was specially designed 

for studio applications. It features an efficient neodymium magnet system and accurate

Headset with Omnidirectional Condenser Microphone 

The lightweight, closed DT 291 headset was developed for professional 

broadcast use. 

The headphone features an efficient neodymium magnet system, a very 

high reproduction precision and a balanced sound. Another special feature 

is the wide transmission range of 10 - 30,000 Hz. 

The soft circumaural earcups and the fully adjustable padded headband 

offer a high wearing comfort. The omnidirectional electret condenser 

microphone can be optimally positioned with the flexible gooseneck.
