The New Trier senior will<br />
play baseball at Northwestern<br />
next season.<br />

If you could go<br />
anywhere in the<br />
world, where would it<br />
be and why?<br />
Kauai. I’ve wanted to go<br />
there for a while and I really<br />
like beaches. It sounds<br />
like a really fun place to<br />
go.<br />
What’s one thing<br />
people don’t know<br />
about you?<br />
My (intramural basketball)<br />
night team won the<br />
Golden Shoe this year.<br />
When did you start<br />
playing baseball and<br />
why?<br />
I started playing around<br />
kindergarten. I grew up in<br />
a baseball home and my<br />
dad played for a long time.<br />
If you could play<br />
another sport, what<br />
would it be and why?<br />
Basketball. I played up<br />
until eighth grade and I really<br />
like it.<br />
What’s your favorite<br />
part about baseball?<br />
I really like being<br />
around the guys. Our team<br />
has really good team camaraderie<br />
and it’s fun to<br />
be around them.<br />
What’s the hardest<br />
part about baseball?<br />
Naturally it’s a sport<br />
of failure, so you have to<br />
learn to accept failure because<br />
it helps you later in<br />
life.<br />
What’s the best advice<br />
you’ve ever gotten?<br />
Get comfortable being<br />
uncomfortable. It ties into<br />
so many things, not just<br />
baseball.<br />
What’s the best part<br />
about being a New<br />
Trier athlete?<br />
Being around the guys<br />
and the tradition of New<br />
Trier. Baseball has won<br />
state twice and it’s really<br />

cool to try to live up to that.<br />
What’s been your<br />
favorite moment at<br />
New Trier?<br />
Winning the supersectional<br />
last year. My sophomore<br />
year I was hurt and<br />
couldn’t play but it was<br />
such an amazing feeling<br />
last year. I was so happy.<br />
If you had $3 to spend<br />
at Walgreens, what<br />
would you buy and<br />
why?<br />
A water and a Snickers.<br />
