WHY FLEXIBLE?
Not only is flexible packaging more versatile
than ever before, there are a host of other
reasons why manufacturers are choosing it over
more traditional packaging methods.
First, it’s significantly cheaper to produce. On
average, and depending on quantity and size,
flexible packaging costs between $0.08 and $0.18
per unit. Printed folding cartons cost almost twice as
much, and glass jars or rigid plastic containers could
be three to six times the cost of flexible packaging.
Choosing flexible packaging means a better profit
margin for your company.
Second, it’s more environmentally-friendly. Flexible
packaging uses less material to manufacture,
which means you use fewer natural resources,
less waste is diverted to the landfill, and fewer
harmful emissions are expended. It is lightweight
and compact, so it can be transported more easily,
saving on fossil-fuel consumption and reducing
environmental pollution.
