Main applications<br />
R-32 is a low GWP "hydrofluorocarbon" (HFC). It is an A2L Refrigerant<br />
meaning it is mildly flammable. It is used in small split Air Conditioning<br />
systems where the charge size complies with the requirements of <strong>EN</strong>378.<br />
It is not a retrofit option for other AC systems running on other refrigerants.<br />
It is also used as a component in both HFC and HFO blends.<br />
Commercial specifications<br />
Purity: ≥ 99.5 % weight.<br />
Water content: ≤ 10 ppm weight.<br />
Non-condensables (gas phase): ≤ 1.5 % volume.<br />
Acidity (HCl): ≤ 1 ppm weight.<br />
Chloride ion test: negative<br />
High boiling residue: ≤ 0.01 % volume.<br />
Oils<br />
Use a polyol ester (POE) oil suitable for R-32. Standard POE is not miscible.<br />
Check with Climalife regarding the viscosity of the oil selected for your<br />
application, and the miscibility with the fluid under consideration.<br />
Regulation<br />
The use and implementation of R-32 are governed by EU Regulation<br />
n° 517/2014.<br />
The recovery of R-32 is mandatory under EU Regulation n° 517/2014.<br />
