EQUIPMENT, CLOTHING & WEATHER
Each participant will receive a Little Leaguers t-shirt at the first session.
We encourage participants to wear their t-shirt to each session. Participants
are also encouraged to wear running shoes and other comfortable
clothing. Please note, sport-specific equipment such as shin pads, cleats
or baseball gloves are not required. All required equipment will be available
on the field each week.
Severe Weather
Little Leaguers will run rain or shine with exceptions for severe weather.
An email will be sent to all participants via the email address provided
during registration one hour prior to the scheduled session if a session
needs to be postponed due to severe weather. Severe weather is defined
as thunder and lightning, heavy, ongoing rain storms or any other weather
event that would impact the safety of the playing surface. Any sessions
that are able to continue for at least 30 minutes of the schedule session
time will not be rescheduled. Any sessions that are stopped within the first
30 minutes of the session will be rescheduled. Little Leaguers will continue
in light rain and other weather that is expected to stop during the scheduled
session time.
Fall/Winter
The temperature inside the dome will fluctuate according to the outside
temperature. The temperature inside the dome generally falls between 10
and 15 degrees. Parents are encouraged to dress participants in layers
under their Little Leaguers t-shirt.
Summer
Little Leaguers will continue during hot weather days with alterations to
the programming to allow for additional water breaks and opportunities for
participants to rest in shaded areas.
Parents/caregivers are encouraged to monitor participants closely and
take additional breaks whenever necessary. Please note that temperatures
on the artificial playing surface tend to be higher than the outside air
temperature.
