Job Duties of Landscape Designer<br />
‣Us<strong>in</strong>g creativity and the beauty of nature to create a harmonious,<br />
aesthetically pleas<strong>in</strong>g and functional area. Areas may <strong>in</strong>clude personal<br />
lawns, parks, highways, walkways, and more.<br />
‣Plann<strong>in</strong>g the f<strong>in</strong>ished product, ty<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> new features with current ones, by<br />
sketch<strong>in</strong>g it to scale. These draw<strong>in</strong>gs will be very detailed, down to the<br />
w<strong>in</strong>dow and door placement on the build<strong>in</strong>gs.<br />
‣Perform<strong>in</strong>g site analyses that <strong>in</strong>clude the assessment of current plants,<br />
soil conditions, light<strong>in</strong>g, the view, and architecture style of the house.<br />
‣Research<strong>in</strong>g topics such as plants and their ability to survive <strong>in</strong> an area,<br />
guidel<strong>in</strong>es and codes.<br />
‣Make public presentations when necessary to discuss the project,<br />
complete with charts, sketches, and so forth.<br />
