9. CHRISTMAS COOKIES RECIPE Ingredients: -1 cup butter -2 1/4 cups sifted flour -1 cup sugar -1 egg -1/2 teaspoon salt -2 teaspoons vanilla Steeps of the recipe: 1. Beat the butter and sugar in a bowl with the electric mixer for five minutes, until it becomes fluffy. 2. Add the egg, the salt and the vanilla. Mix again. 3. Add the flour and keep mixing until it becomes a stiff dough. 4. Put the dough in plastic wrap and leave it in the fridge for two hours. 5. Roll the dough on a floured surface and cut into different shapes using cookie cutters. 6. Place the cookies on a baking tray and bake them at maximum temperature until they become brown on the edges, usually fifteen minutes. 7. Wait until they are cold, and if you like, you can decorate them with coloured icing. 8. 8.You can also make a hole on the cookies before baking them, pass a short piece of wool through it and hang them from the Christmas tree!
