PREMIUM BENEFITS MEDICAL

PREMIUM BENEFITS MEDICAL INSURANCE: Lake Travis ISD currently contributes $500 per month toward the premium for each employee who elects to participate in the employee medical plan — Blue Cross/Blue Shield Blue Choice (PPO). Low and High Option plans are offered. Other options include dental, vision, life, and disability. Pre-tax cafeteria plans are also available. INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES: Tax-sheltered annuities such as the 403(b) plan are available. PERSONAL & SICK LEAVE: Teachers are granted 10 days of leave each year: five (5) state personal and five (5) local sick days. CHILD CARE: Lake Travis ISD has an on-site child development facility for infants and preschool-aged children. After school care is provided for children in grades PK-5, which is offered at a 50 percent discount for all Lake Travis ISD employees. TUITION-FREE ATTENDANCE: Children of employees not living in the District may attend Lake Travis ISD schools tuition-free. MENTORING PROGRAM: Induction-year teachers are supported at both the campus and district levels through Lake Travis ISD’s New Teacher Mentoring Program. Emotional, instructional, and procedural support is provided by campus mentors and principals host campus-based mentoring meetings. All induction-year teachers meet every other month to network, problem solve, and receive support. LAKE TRAVIS EDUCATION FOUNDATION: LTEF has been raising money for the Lake Travis Independent School District since 1985.
