Be the
creative
author of your
own story

You are now the
creative author of
your own story
You have the chance to tell your
past experiences with confidence
and creativity.

You will journey through different
activities which will be the
chapters to your story.
Take a picture after each activity,
which in the end will piece
together as a visual story.

Front
What? Your front cover is
going to be a character based
on you. After all, great story teller
knows the true identity of her or is
character.
Why? when a story teller
makes their character, they will
use the characters personality to
choose what the character looks
like so we get to know a little
about the character.
Top Tips:
*Forget about what a real person looks like,
use the shapes and colours to make a new
and exciting person that best shows off your
characters personality.

Activity 1
Cover
Task:
>Using the left side of drawer 1, create a face that
best describes you as the character in your story.
>Now, using the right side the of drawer make the
full body! mix and match between the arms legs
and torso.
>Write one word that best describes you as the
character.
Example: are you shy? Then maybe
your character has red cheeks and a very small,
wiggly body
or
are you chatty and confident? then maybe your
character is brightly coloured and has a very big
mouth

Introduction
What? a
little introduction
to yourself as the
main character in
your story.
Top Tips:
Why? The difference
between being happy/
sad or positive/ negative
is often our own choice.
When we think of our life
as a story we can choose
to re-tell it in a positive,
confident and happy light.
* The trick to a happy and confident life is being
able to tell your own story focusing on the good
rather than the bad.
* The good story teller also knows that the main
character of the story isnt always responsible
for the bad, so we must not blame our selves for
things we can not control.

Activity 2
Task:
>can you think of a time that you did something;
brave, caring or generous?
>create what that moment might have looked like
using your chosen shapes from the drawers.

Begin your
What? Now that
we have made our
happy and confident
character, we can
start to share what
the characters past
experiences, interests,
likes and disikes are.
Similer to a CV.
Why? The
questions can be used
as practise for an
interview or to create
your CV. Or, share your
story with the public!
