Alumni Industry Day<br />
Since its origin in 2007, A.C.E. Alumni Industry Day has volunteered its time,<br />
talent, skills and relationships by cultivating resources for engineers to achieve<br />
echnological excellence by bringing industry to the classroom for enhancing<br />
professional development and business acumen. In doing so, our program has a<br />
partnership based on the student-faculty-alumni strategy encompassed by<br />
industry partners that provide seminars and skill set training promoting<br />
academia growth in architecture, construction engineering & management<br />
along with electronics engineering. Many sessions introduce new technologies,<br />
current industry practices, standards, industry trends that enable students to<br />
transition into internships, co-ops and full-time careers seamlessly.<br />
A.C.E. Alumni Industry Day has hosted the talents of Local Businesses, the<br />
Small Business Administration, Fortune 100 & 500 Companies such as Balfour<br />
Beatty Construction, Turner, SGL, Stiles, Northrop Grumman, Digi-Key,<br />
AT&T, Boeing, Clark Construction, Universal Orlando Resorts & Theme<br />
Parks. Specialty Contractors such as Fender Marine, Maxim Cranes, Xella,<br />
Advanced Stucco and many more. Alumni companies include Strategist,<br />
Restoracon, Praise Contracting, Provisions Construction, Imagine This and<br />
JS1 to name a few.<br />
Amongst the seminars and scholarships, competition is encouraged at the<br />
Student Competition Mock Bid, Case Studies and Team Building Exercises.<br />
The Alumni, Partners and Friends range in professions: construction, law, risk<br />
management, engineering and business. They are committed to serving the<br />
Florida A&M University by returning the investment made into their personal<br />
and professional success.<br />
