Alumni Industry Day
Since its origin in 2007, A.C.E. Alumni Industry Day has volunteered its time,
talent, skills and relationships by cultivating resources for engineers to achieve
echnological excellence by bringing industry to the classroom for enhancing
professional development and business acumen. In doing so, our program has a
partnership based on the student-faculty-alumni strategy encompassed by
industry partners that provide seminars and skill set training promoting
academia growth in architecture, construction engineering & management
along with electronics engineering. Many sessions introduce new technologies,
current industry practices, standards, industry trends that enable students to
transition into internships, co-ops and full-time careers seamlessly.
A.C.E. Alumni Industry Day has hosted the talents of Local Businesses, the
Small Business Administration, Fortune 100 & 500 Companies such as Balfour
Beatty Construction, Turner, SGL, Stiles, Northrop Grumman, Digi-Key,
AT&T, Boeing, Clark Construction, Universal Orlando Resorts & Theme
Parks. Specialty Contractors such as Fender Marine, Maxim Cranes, Xella,
Advanced Stucco and many more. Alumni companies include Strategist,
Restoracon, Praise Contracting, Provisions Construction, Imagine This and
JS1 to name a few.
Amongst the seminars and scholarships, competition is encouraged at the
Student Competition Mock Bid, Case Studies and Team Building Exercises.
The Alumni, Partners and Friends range in professions: construction, law, risk
management, engineering and business. They are committed to serving the
Florida A&M University by returning the investment made into their personal
and professional success.
