Icelanders are a privileged when it comes to the Northern
Lights. They are visible for eight months a year, from
early September to the end of April and in any of these
months, you are likely to see some aurora activity—it just
depends on your luck, the weather and solar activity.

In few places in the world do you have so many
opportunities to catch this incredible phenomenon.
Norway, Finland, northern Canada and Alaska boast
similar experiences, but while many of these places have
longer hours of darkness in winter, they all face more
challenges when it comes to cloud cover
