Why Rent
F R O M
The Cat Rental Store?
Minimize Costly Breakdowns
Our fleets are loaded with newer, reliable equipment that
is put through a rigorous maintenance routine by trained
mechanics prior to each rental to ensure the most
productive and reliable equipment possible reaches your
job site.
Complete Your Job More Efficiently
Expect the latest technology from The Cat Rental Store.
We rent Caterpillar and other top brands of equipment
utilizing the most innovative ideas available today. Also,
you will be using the right equipment to get the job done
right. No more “just getting by” with the wrong equipment.
No Equipment Obsolescence
Equipment ownership can be costly. The value of
equipment depreciates over time. Renting from The Cat
Rental Store allows you to use the latest technology
equipment without the concern of costly depreciation.
No more trying to get the job done with old, worn-out
equipment.
No Capital Investment
Renting frees up your business’ capital. An expense is
only incurred for the equipment when it is needed for a
particular job. The extra capital you save through renting
equipment from The Cat Rental Store can be applied
to the other demands within your business so you can
grow profitably. Release your business from the costs
associated with equipment ownership.
Reduce Maintenance Costs
Now you can reduce costly service shops,
service tooling, spare parts and those
cumbersome maintenance records on smaller
equipment. We do it all for you. On larger equipment,
we offer cast effective service packages, available at
most branches.
Eliminate Storage Costs
No need to maintain a storage yard. Just give
us a call for quick pick-up or simply drop off the
equipment at the nearest Cat Rental Store when
you’ve finished using it. We’ll take care of the equipment
storage.
Expect Responsive Service
Our team can knowledgeably consult you on equipment
and applications. We will work to become your trusted
rental source and make your job easier. We are only a
phone call away.
Try It Before You Buy It
You may be considering buying a certain model of
equipment and would like to operate it on your job to
make sure it suits you before making that potential
purchase. What better way to thoroughly try out
equipment than to rent a similar machine from the large
selection of equipment at The Cat Rental Store.
Bottom Line
The Cat Rental Store is fast, easy, cost-effective and there
WHAT IS IT?
Rental Equipment Coverage (REC) is the coverage we
provide to our customers in order to reduce their risk.
It limits your risk in relation to both destruction and
damages of the equipment you rent from The Cat Rental
Store.
WHO NEEDS IT?
• It must be used when account customers cannot
provide proof of insurance coverage.
• This program is mandatory for all non-account
customers (Cash).
• Account customers who don’t want to have to contact
their insurance agent every time they want to add or
take a piece of equipment from their policy.
WHY DO I NEED REC?
• Provides certainty of coverage.
• Peace of mind.
• Provides an option for account customers who are able
to provide proof of insurance coverage.
• Reduces the need to claim something on your own
policy. Can reduce increases in premiums in the event
of a claim.
• Easier than contacting your insurance broker with
equipment change notices, especially on short term
rentals.
• Recommended for the rental of pumps (reduced risk if
an oversized object is inhaled).
• Recommended when small equipment is used with
larger mobile equipment (drive overs).
• For cash customers we can offer a lower deposit
requirement equal to the expected rental term when
they take REC. As opposed to a one month deposit
minimum we take today.
CALCULATION
BTU REQUIREMENT CALCULATION
For professional and site specific calculations contact your Cat Rental Store representative.
Cu. ft. x (cu. ft. factor x insulation factor) = BTU required
1. Establish the number of cu. ft. to be heated:
Width x length x height of the room = number of cu. ft.
2. Establish the variation between the outdoors and indoors required temperature:
-20 o C outdoor and +10 o C required indoor = variation of 30 o C
3. Establish the cu. ft. factor:
Variation of 10 o between outdoor and indoor required temperature = Factor 0.4
Variation of 20 o between outdoor and indoor required temperature = Factor 0.6
Variation of 30 o between outdoor and indoor required temperature = Factor 0.8
Variation of 40 o between outdoor and indoor required temperature = Factor 1.0
4. Establish the insulation factor:
Insulated: Windows and walls installed = Factor 2.0
Fairly insulated: Walls in position, no windows installed = Factor 4.0
Poorly insulated: Few walls installed = Factor 7.0
Not insulated: No walls and windows, only tarps = Factor 8.5
5. Calculation of BTU requirements:
Cu. ft. x (cu. ft. factor x insulation factor) = BTU required
Example :
• Room dimension: 100’ x 100’ x 30’ = 300 000 cu. ft.
• Outdoor temperature of -20 o C goal of +10 o C indoor variation of 30 o C = Factor 0.8
• Room is insulated = Factor 2.0
(100 x 100 x 30) x (0.8 x 2) = 480 000 BTU required
AIR QUALITY
Water and Wastewater Treatment
Wastewater releases odor and volatile compounds during its travel to the processing plants and during the treatment process. The use of
chemicals, bio filters, and carbon filters have not completely solved the odor problems and the capital and operating costs and energy
consumption is very high. Sol-Air systems are a fraction of the capital costs and they eliminate the contamination using a natural process that
adds nothing new to the environment and uses up to 90% less energy when compared to competing technologies.
Medical Industry
Sol-Air systems are used by hospitals and senior care facilities for air decontamination of odors, viruses, bacteria’s and mold spores. Laboratory
testing at the University of Alberta show a 98% kill rate of the pathogens tested with the Sol-Air technology. The Sol-Air systems are used in
isolation rooms, operating rooms, dressing rooms, patient rooms, common areas, morgues and numerous other areas in the facilities.
Oil Industry
Globally, air quality issues are posing escalating risks on health and the environment. Odors, bacteria, viruses and molds are causing
significant problems in industries such as wastewater, oil and gas, fire and flood, agriculture, health and travel. Sol-Air Systems’ line of
patented proprietary UV Air Decontamination Technologies is uniquely positioned to address these issues.
Restoration Industry
The Restoration industry in North America is busy, with fire and flood damage occurring daily. Fire and floods do not always completely destroy
a building and in those cases a restoration company can repair the damage. Restoration companies use Sol-Air products to remove smoke odor
from fires, mold and mildew from flooding in a very cost and time effective way.
SLIDE RAIL SYSTEM
WE CAN ASSIST AND INSTALL
• Fast, easy assembly
• Great performance at all depths
• For pits, tank installations, pipeline jobs, and more
• Exact alignment in the trench
• Minimal site restoration required
• Patented open track system lets you swing panels into place for safer, easier assembly
• Certified to meet OSHA Requirements
This unique modular system is especially useful when the jobsite is impacted by adjacent structures such as buildings or retaining walls or
when vehicle traffic is adjacent to the excavation. As the system is installed, the machine operator is able to dig deep while keeping soil tight
to the modular panels and rails. this method effectively reduces soil subsidence typical to excavations employing other shoring systems such
as trench shields. Similarly, a contractor can frequently do his work safely and efficiently while allowing vehicle traffic to continue adjacent to
the work site itself.
AIR MILES Reward Program
If your company chooses to participate in the AIR MILES Reward Program, the following terms will apply:
1.) Rewards will apply to rental transactions only
2.) One AIR MILES reward mile is issued for every $25 rental transaction (excluding taxes)
3.) Rewards are only issued to customers when the full invoice is paid within 45 days from issuance.
4.) Rewards are issued to cash and credit card accounts at time of rental return.
Some of our customers are sensitive as to how the benefits of participating in AIR MILES will be applied. To
that extent, we are offering our customers several program participation options:
1.) Accumulate all AIR MILES reward miles in one Collector account, preferably under the name of the owner / president
2.) Accumulate all AIR MILES reward miles in a corporate Collector account
3.) Elect to not collect AIR MILES reward miles
Attached is an AIR MILES reward miles Acceptance Agreement, which we would ask that the president of a senior executive of your
company complete and return to us. In this way, we can ensure to comply with your preferences as to how AIR MILES reward miles,
attributed to your rental transactions with us, are applied.
