family company in Westphalian Münsterland.

AT EASE IN A STYLISH AMBIENCE
O ur premises encompass approx. 800 m 2 , spread
out over three floors, with a dedicated car park
with 12 spaces and a green oasis in our own
garden.
Its core consists of 9 lovingly furnished, separate,
fully air-conditioned rooms, in which our personalised
hairpiece consultancy takes place. All
rooms are designed with guaranteed access to the
garden and therefore to natural daylight.

We are working constantly on further developments
and we commission RWTH Aachen University, and
the DWI (German institute for hair research) based
there, with research assignments in order to pursue
our visions.

we and our team find the right solution for every
hair problem.
An added advantage is our independence from
manufacturers. In our own workshop we can
fulfil „special wishes“ and produce pieces in
accordance with German quality standards.

M en and women who have been diagnosed with cancer frequently also
suffer hair loss. The wish - that no one can outwardly detect the illness
where possible - is our aim!
WE MAKE SURE THAT YOU LOOK LIKE YOUR NORMAL SELF.
P lease take the advice of your doctor or health insurer seriously. They
recommend that you visit us before you start losing your hair.
With some chemotherapy treatments, hair loss can start after just 14 - 17 days. As soon as you lose hair,
please arrange an appointment with us. We will endeavour to make this possible the same day. An
in-depth consultation lasts around 60 - 90 minutes. Significant family members or supportive friends
are welcome to accompany you. All of our staff have received psycho-oncological training and are keen
to provide you with caring and sensitive support.

CONSULTATION WITH RIESWICK IS
INDISPENSABLE.

EVERY HEAD is DIFFERENT
IN ORDER FOR THE SELECTED HAIRPIECE TO BECOME YOUR HAIRSTYLE,
CERTAIN WORK IS REQUIRED.
T he shape of the hairpiece is aligned with the individual head shape in our own
studio. This guarantees wearer assurance and comfort.
We are also able to fulfil special wishes! A strand of your own hair can be integrated in the
hairpiece for example. We can implement desired adjustments right away in our workshop
on site, and you have no annoying waiting times after sending the hairpiece away.
Working in cooperation with the German institute for hair research (DWI) at Aachen
University, we are always up-to-date with leading-edge technology, and we have developed
dermatologically-tested materials for wig bases.
Your personal hairstyle (cut, structure, volume, movement) is reconstructed in the
hairpiece. Thanks to special techniques, this is then retained after hair-washing.
On your head, the hairpiece receives the perfect final touches.

I‘M GOING TO LOSE MY HAIR.
WHAT SHOULD I DO NOW?
INITIAL CONSULTATION
– Please trust in the opinion of your doctor or health insurer and visit us for a personal consultation
before you start losing your hair.
– We will work together with you to find the optimum substitute hair for you, based on your existing
hairstyle.
– On your request we will prepare 1-2 wigs and reserve these for you on a no-obligation basis. The
substitute hair will be created precisely according to your wishes. We will only bill the health insurer
if the substitute hair is actually required. If you do not lose your hair and you do not require a wig
then there will be no costs for you or your health insurer. That is our risk.
– We are also happy to take care of billing your health insurer on your behalf. To do so, we merely
require a prescription for the substitute hair from your doctor.
COLLECTION
– Your hair may start to fall out approx. 14 days after the first chemotherapy session.
– Please arrange an appointment now, in order to collect your reserved hairpiece.
– We recommend first having your own hair cut short by us. In this way you avoid consciously losing
your hair at home. Only once no hair is present beneath the hairpiece is it possible to perfect the size
of the wig.
– The wig haircut will now be tailored to your wishes on your head and completed.
– We will provide you with all important information regarding the treatment of your hairpiece:
- We discuss with you and teach you how to place and position your wig correctly.
- We explain washing and caring for your hairpiece in detail.
- You will be provided with a (multilingual) document containing all of the facts, to take home with you.
- We provide you with comprehensive advice on wig alternatives such as scarves, caps, etc.
- Our specialist personnel will explain what suits you and how to wear it.
- Towards the end of your treatment it is possible that you may also lose your eyebrows and eyelashes.
Our make-up artists, colour consultants and stylists will advise you on reconstruction.

OUR COMPANY IS LOCATED AT THE HEART
OF RAMSDORF, A TRANQUIL VILLAGE WITH
APPROX. 6,000 INHABITANTS. RAMSDORF
BELONGS TO THE TOWN OF VELEN IN THE
DISTRICT OF BORKEN.
I t is situated in western Münsterland, on the
Bocholter Aa river. The official name is „Velen
Ramsdorf“, named after the neighbouring Velen
– the green district, a state-recognised health
resort. You can find our more at: www.velen.de
We are located approx. 21 km from the Dutch
border. If you are travelling to us from
further afield and wish to combine your visit with
a short break in stunning Münsterland,
we shall be delighted to assist you with choosing
your overnight accommodation.
If you are travelling by train then you will find
very good connections right to Borken /
Westphalia. Our shuttle service will naturally run
you from the station to our premises, and back
afterwards. The same applies to the transfer from
us to the nearby airports of Münster / Osnabrück
or Düsseldorf.
