Goal 15: Sustainably manage forests, combat
desertification, halt and reverse land degradation
and halt biodiversity loss.
every year
3,6billion acres
GENDER EQUALITY
Gender
inequality
persists
worldwide.
It is about
depriving
women and
girls of their
basic rights
and
opportunities
of women (in 87 countries) between the ages of 15
Global goals for the
ocean
-REDUCE OCEAN ACIDIFICATION
-PROTECT AND RESTORE
ECOSYSTEMS
-REDUCE MARINE POLLUTION
-SUSTAINABLE FISHING
-INCREASE SCIENTIFIC
KNOWLEDGE, RESEARCH AND
TECHNOLOGY FOR OCEAN
HEALTH
-SUPPORT SMALL SCALE FISHERS
-END SUBSIDIES CONTRIBUTING
TO OVERFISHING
Our oceans and seas are being
threatened and destroyed by
human activities like marine
pollution, overfishing, and
destruction of marine habitats.
Oceans cover three quarters of
the earth's surface, and they are
home to nearly 200,000 species.
That marine and coastal
biodiversity isn't just beautiful; it
provides the livelihoods of more
than 3 billion people. We can stop
and reverse the damage we have
done to our world's oceans if we
act quickly to conserve and
protect our marine resources and
habitats.

6 CLEAN
WATER AND
SANITATION
Ensure access to
water for all
Clean water is a basic
human need, and one that
should be easily accessible
to all.
Facts an figures
- 2.6 billion people have
gained access to improved
drinking water sources
since 1990, but 663 million
people are still without
- At least 1.8 billion
people globally use a
source of drinking water
that is fecally
contaminated
- 2.4 billion people lack
access to basic sanitation
services, such as toilets or
latrines
- Each day,nearly 1,000
children die due to
preventable water and
sanitation-related
diarrhoeal diseases
Goals and objevtives
- By 2030, achieve
universal and equitable
access to safe and
affordable drinking
water for all
- By 2030, implement
integrated water
resources management
at all levels, including
through transboundary
cooperation as
appropriate
- By 2020, protect and
restore water-related
ecosystems, including
mountains, forests,
wetlands, rivers,
aquifers and lakes
- Support and
strengthen the
participation of local
communities in
improving water and
sanitation management
