Note WEP wireless encryption is
not supported by WPS. If your
wireless router encryption is set to
WEP, then the steps to reconfiguring
extender by using web GUI are
If your WPS is supporting the router /gateway, then press the power
button of WPS within 5 seconds until you notice green light.
Press and hold the WPS power button on your extender for 10 seconds.
If the LED doesn’t blink then its means your extender is not connected
to your router wifi network, please repeat the step.
extender and router support 2.5 and 5 GHz frequency.
Place your extender near to wifi connection where wifi signal can
catch easily.

Firstly, you have to use paper clip
or pin for resetting your extender.
Press it for 10 seconds.
After the rebooting process of
extender, use the default settings to
connect SSID (NETGEAR_EXT).
Go to your browser, in which you
will be directed to the extender
page if not; use the
http://mywifiext.net or URL
192.168.1.250 in the address bar of
your browser.
Tap on new NETGEAR EXTENDER
SETUP button from device.
Just sign up and fill-out the
mandatory fields and click on
‘NEXT’.

Search the extender and it will display the available wifi
network in your location.
Choose the wifi network and click the NEXT button on
your router.
Enter the network password in the respective field for
selecting network and go for NEXT step.
Mention the network name or (SSID) and select the
network key of your new extender and go to ‘NEXT’.
Select the continue button after completing the setup.
Tap on ‘NEXT’ button for registration process. If it is
already done, then go to next step directly.
Now it’s the time to place extender at ideal location from
where it can transmit signal easily.
