JIRATCHAYA PRIPWAI Born in 1983, Jiratchaya Pripwai graduated with a Master degree in 2011 at the renowned Faculty of Painting, Sculpture and Graphic Art at Silpakorn University, Thailand’s most demanding training ground for artists. Many of Thailand’s top artists started their careers at Silpakorn. and airy textile-like paintings on canvas has rapidly earned her a devoted following. Most of Thailand’s renowned private museums and collections own one or several of her ink-on-canvas pieces. A 2015 exhibition in Paris was rapidly sold out. Her large-scale not more than a handful are normally being produced per year. Already considered to be one of the fastest rising stars in Thailand’s Contemporary Art scene, she is bound to burst very soon onto the international art scene.
