ptw Shipyard was set up to provide a quality service to meet the growing demand for refits on yachts
and the superyacht industry. We are in a privileged location at a central point in the Mediterranean, a
strategic position where all our facilities are concentrated.
From the outset we have shown huge dedication, engagement
and commitment in all the projects we have carried out,
meeting all our customers needs.
ptw Shipyard, has recently merged with the MELITA MARINE
GROUP, with facilities in Malta for superyachts up to a 110m
lift capability.
We are passionate about yachts, passionate about what we
do and have a team of committed, well-qualified professionals
who are continuously training in order to be able to undertake
all kinds of tasks. All our work involves large scale projects
serving vessels of between 30 to 50 metres at our yard and
dry dock up to 110 metres.
ptw Shipyard is already a flagship in the yacht arena. With
an excellent career thus far, it aims to keep exponentially
expanding. It has huge future potential due to its competitive
edge, but above all, because of the high quality of its
equipment and technology and the commitment of its staff.
Given the current high demand in the superyacht market, we
provide a customer-oriented service, assuring them quality
and efficiency in all our actions.

History
ptw Shipyard is located in one of the original facilities
of Astilleros Tarragona. The shipyard was originally
comprised of one building, a space for shipbuilding
and a slipway for large vessels.
Since 1918, Astilleros Tarragona has carried out its work in the
city’s port, gradually gaining ground over Unión Naval de Levante.
The Valencian shipyard stopped working in 1950, clearing the path
for competitors like Astilleros Tarragona.
Today, ptw Shipyard has fully renovated
facilities that provide an updated, quality
technical service for large vessels.

Yacht Paint
Yacht Paint and refinishing is one of our main specialties,
as are ourprecise scope, timeline, budget, consistent quality
assurance checks and regular attention and supervision on
each project. Yacht refinishing, a multi-colour paint scheme,
planning, product knowledge and application procedures are
some key ingredients to achieve the perfect yacht refinishing.
Some of our yacht painting applications and techniques
include:
• Prepping, Sanding, full Faring systems, Spray, Brush and
Top Coat. Our painting specialists are also experts in
custom techniques like signwriting, gold leaf lettering, etc

Full interior service:
Probably the most difficult part of finding the right interior
designer to work on your yacht is deciding what exactly
you want to achieve. Once you have a set of ideas, the
trick is to write them down in a way we can understand,
which isn’t always easy. A good idea is to collect pictures
of other designs you may have seen and create a collage.
It is then up to our team to work with you to create your

What is TPA?
Our customers can benefit from TPA, a
payment rate that does not include the
21% of Spanish VAT on works carried
out on vessels. A benefit that enables

our dry dock, ptw Shipyard offers its own leisure activities and other
