O U R M I S S I O N
The mission of the LA Black Investors Club (LABIC), a
501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is to inform, exchange,
and foster the development of entrepreneurial ventures
through serving as a conduit to venture creation,
capitalization, and capacity building for diverse
communities. Through our programming, LABIC strives to
address our community's lack of access and exposure to
resources, knowledge, investors, mentors, partners, and
clients in order to build a framework for individual and
collective wealth creation.

O U R P R O G R A M S
Throughout the year, LABIC hosts dynamic
workshops, networking events, and
programs, including our quarterly Black
Business Pitch Competition, Fireside Chat
Series, Educational Workshop Series, and
annual DIASPORA Holiday Event.
LABIC's Fireside Chat Series features
different speakers who lead discussions on
various issues and topic of interest to
entrepreneurs, from venture capital and
fundraising to investing and marketing.

P I T C H C O M P E T I T I O N
In 2017, LABIC launched a quarterly Black
Business Pitch Competition in Inglewood,
CA. The goal of the competition is twofold:
1. Serve as a launchpad for local black
entrepreneurs, and
2. Expose and educate others about
local black businesses.
Since launching, over 25 entrepreneurs
have pitched a variety of businesses,
ranging from sporting apps to unique
collaborative workspaces. Our
competition has been featured in
publications such as the Los Angeles
Sentinel.
