7 Days/6 Nights<br />

One full week to travel through Piero Della Francesca's beautiful land during <strong>the</strong> Renaissance between<br />

courts, art and flavours. Starting from Milan and moving than into <strong>the</strong> heart of Italy to admire <strong>the</strong> greatest<br />

Piero della Francesca's work.<br />

Day 1: Milan<br />

• Arrival in Milan by own means.<br />

• Welcome drink at <strong>the</strong> hotel in Milan upon arrival.<br />

• Guided visit to Castello Sforzesco and Poldi-Pezzoli Museum.<br />

• Dinner in a characteristic Milan restaurant.<br />

• Overnight.<br />

Day 2: Milan<br />

• Guided visit to Pinacoteca di Brera where <strong>the</strong> Pala Montefeltro by Piero della Francesca is exposed.<br />

• Guided visit to Milan’s Duomo, one of <strong>the</strong> most iconic symbol of <strong>the</strong> city.<br />

• Free lunch.<br />

• Guided visit to <strong>the</strong> Last Supper of Leonardo Da Vinci, located in its original place, on <strong>the</strong> wall of refectory of <strong>the</strong> former<br />

Dominican convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie.<br />

• Guided visit and Aperitif to <strong>the</strong> Vineyard of Leonardo Da Vinci, in front of Santa Maria Delle Grazie. A gift from Ludovico<br />

Sforza, Duke of Milan, given to Leonardo in 1498, it’s one of <strong>the</strong> most significant places about Leonardo in Milan.<br />

• Overnight in hotel.<br />

Day 3: Milan › Urbino (385 km)<br />

• Transfer to Urbino by own means and free lunch.<br />

• Guided tour of Urbino: a small town with an outstanding role in art history, having been one of <strong>the</strong> most creative<br />

and admired courts of <strong>the</strong> Renaissance. Entering <strong>the</strong> streets and buildings of <strong>the</strong> old town, it is still possible to notice<br />

<strong>the</strong> perspective perfection that inspired many works by Piero della Francesca, including Flagellazione and Madonna di<br />

Senigallia, still hosted inside Palazzo Ducale.<br />

• Visit of Palazzo Ducale and <strong>the</strong> Marche National Gallery, inside <strong>the</strong> palace.<br />

• Visit to <strong>the</strong> Church of San Bernardino where Federico da Montefeltro was buried. Free dinner and overnight.<br />

Day 4: Urbino › Perugia (113 km) › Sansepolcro (68 km) › Monterchi (15 km)<br />

› Arezzo (30 km)<br />

• Breakfast and transfer to Perugia by own means. Guided tour of Perugia including stops to admire <strong>the</strong> Etruscan Wall,<br />

Oratorio di San Bernardino, Fontana Maggiore, San Lorenzo’s Ca<strong>the</strong>dral and Rocca Paolina.<br />

• Guided visit to <strong>the</strong> Umbria National Gallery, in <strong>the</strong> ancient Palazzo dei Priori, to admire <strong>the</strong> Polittico di Sant’Antonio by<br />

Piero della Francesca and in <strong>the</strong> moulding, <strong>the</strong> Annunciazione.<br />

• Free lunch.<br />

• Transfer to Sansepolcro by own means: this is <strong>the</strong> hometown of Piero della Francesca, where <strong>the</strong> artist was born, lived<br />

for some time, and died. Guided visit to <strong>the</strong> Civic Museum, where some masterpieces of Piero are still preserved, such<br />

as <strong>the</strong> Resurrection, <strong>the</strong> Madonna della Misericordia, San Giuliano and San Ludovico; in <strong>the</strong>se works <strong>the</strong> harmony of <strong>the</strong><br />

streets, <strong>the</strong> elegance of <strong>the</strong> palaces and inside of <strong>the</strong> churches are perfectly recreated by <strong>the</strong> artist. Visit to <strong>the</strong> village:<br />

walk through <strong>the</strong> middle-ages streets, pass in front of <strong>the</strong> house where <strong>the</strong> artist was born and arrive to <strong>the</strong> Romanic<br />

Gothic Ca<strong>the</strong>dral. Transfer to Monterchi by own means and meeting with local guide<br />

• Tour of <strong>the</strong> village: Monterchi is an intimate middle-ages village in <strong>the</strong> most hidden and untouched Tuscany, among<br />

parish churches and castles, where it is said <strong>the</strong> mo<strong>the</strong>r of Piero della Francesca was born. Here <strong>the</strong> artist took<br />

inspiration and painted life celebration in its highest expression: <strong>the</strong> Madonna del Parto.<br />

• Transfer to Arezzo by own means. Free dinner and overnight.
