Stephenson Island-This site<br />

<strong>of</strong>fers a large, picnic area and<br />

park. It is also within walking<br />

distance <strong>of</strong> restaurants,<br />

museums and the Wisconsin<br />

Travel Center. The dock is not<br />

recommended for boats over<br />

16’ in length. Port-a-potties are<br />

available on-site.<br />

Sixth Street Launch-This launch<br />

site can handle boats up to 23’<br />

in length, has plenty <strong>of</strong> parking,<br />

and private bathrooms. It is less<br />

utilized than some <strong>of</strong> the other<br />

launch sites, making it easier<br />

to find parking and launching<br />

your boat.<br />

Menekaunee Harbor Launch-<br />

This facility was completed<br />

in the summer <strong>of</strong> 2017 and<br />

hosted the Cabela’s Walleye<br />

Tournament Championships.<br />

Some <strong>of</strong> the amenities <strong>of</strong> this<br />

site include: large parking<br />

areas, private bathrooms, a<br />

kayak launch ramp and 3 boat<br />

ramps, equipped to handle<br />

boats up to 40’ in length. There<br />

is a convenience store and gas<br />

station nearby, which can be<br />

used to purchase gasoline and<br />

many other supplies. Watch<br />

out for the goose feces in the<br />

spring and fall.<br />

Red Arrow Park-The launch<br />

is adequate for kayaks and<br />

small boats. The launch is<br />

located within a park that has<br />

restrooms, picnic tables and<br />

a pavilion. The water can be<br />

shallow <strong>of</strong>f <strong>of</strong> the launching<br />

area.<br />

Boom Landing-This launch<br />

<strong>of</strong>fers many amenities and<br />

is close to the highway. It<br />

features private bathrooms,<br />

large fish cleaning stations,<br />

and a vast parking lot for<br />

easy maneuvering. The two<br />

docks at this location, means<br />

that 3-4 boats may launch<br />

simultaneously. The launch<br />

can handle boats up to 35’ in<br />

length. It also has handicap<br />

accessible rails and adequate<br />

lighting. Watch out for the<br />

goose feces in the spring and<br />

fall.<br />
