Stephenson Island-This site
offers a large, picnic area and
park. It is also within walking
distance of restaurants,
museums and the Wisconsin
Travel Center. The dock is not
recommended for boats over
16’ in length. Port-a-potties are
available on-site.
Sixth Street Launch-This launch
site can handle boats up to 23’
in length, has plenty of parking,
and private bathrooms. It is less
utilized than some of the other
launch sites, making it easier
to find parking and launching
your boat.
Menekaunee Harbor Launch-
This facility was completed
in the summer of 2017 and
hosted the Cabela’s Walleye
Tournament Championships.
Some of the amenities of this
site include: large parking
areas, private bathrooms, a
kayak launch ramp and 3 boat
ramps, equipped to handle
boats up to 40’ in length. There
is a convenience store and gas
station nearby, which can be
used to purchase gasoline and
many other supplies. Watch
out for the goose feces in the
spring and fall.
Red Arrow Park-The launch
is adequate for kayaks and
small boats. The launch is
located within a park that has
restrooms, picnic tables and
a pavilion. The water can be
shallow off of the launching
area.
Boom Landing-This launch
offers many amenities and
is close to the highway. It
features private bathrooms,
large fish cleaning stations,
and a vast parking lot for
easy maneuvering. The two
docks at this location, means
that 3-4 boats may launch
simultaneously. The launch
can handle boats up to 35’ in
length. It also has handicap
accessible rails and adequate
lighting. Watch out for the
goose feces in the spring and
fall.
