OECM’s Mandate
OECM is a not-for-profit corporation and works in partnership with its education sector
partners to identify collaborative sourcing opportunities to complement the education sector’s
individual procurement practices. Participation in OECM agreements is also open to other
broader public sector organizations in Ontario.
In addition to driving savings and enabling efficiencies through the implementation of
collaborative sourcing agreements, OECM also ensures its procurement processes and practices
are in compliance with that Ontario’s Broader Public Sector Procurement Directive.

Participation of procurement professionals
and subject matter experts from the
education sector through sector advisory
groups and sourcing project working
groups is integral to OECM’s success as a
collaborative sourcing partner. This ensures
that sector needs are met throughout the
sourcing cycle. OECM provides expert analysis and manages supplier performance throughout
the life of each agreement.
