People who have a lot of money are greedy (fraud / thieves)
Money is not spiritual
I should be happy with what I’ve got
Money goes out faster than it comes in
I cannot manage or handle money well
I’m not good enough to make money
This is of course only a partial list. But I’ll be very surprised if you didn’t
resonate with at least one of these beliefs. When I do my ‘Rewrite Your
Money Story’ intensive with my clients, we end up uncovering anything
between 10-40 money beliefs (!!) - Which we then of course set out to
transform.
Now let’s look at your words.
The words we speak are a direct reflection of what we think and believe.
And - what we speak we create. I realised this after I had a rough patch in
my business one year. I took a huge financial risk and some of it paid off
and some of it didn’t. I went from being able to eat out, shop and holiday
whenever I wanted to having to think twice about everything I spent.
I remember I kept saying to myself “It’s OK, I don’t need those nice things. As
long as we are all healthy, have a roof over our head and food in the fridge
we are OK”. This was literally my mantra for about a year. I would
repeatedly say it, to myself and to my then husband.
And guess what? That’s exactly what I had. Nothing more, nothing less.
I had to go through a sobering process with myself and admit that I DO like
all ‘those nice things’! It wasn’t until I admitted it to myself that I set up to
consciously create the life of my dreams.
