Jeffrey Morton of FAU presented the tenth John O’<strong>Sullivan</strong> Memorial Lecture on the Role of Diplomacy in<br />
20th Century American Foreign Policy.<br />
Morton has published across several important fields, including international law, security studies,<br />
international organization and international relations theory. In addition to the publication of three books and<br />
numerous journal articles, Morton has organized two major conferences hosted by FAU. He is also founder<br />
and director of the FAU Diplomacy Program. Students involved in this program have won five consecutive<br />
awards at the National Model United Nations Simulation in New York City.<br />
In October 2012 Professor Morton was awarded the prestigious Foreign Policy Association Medal at the<br />
World Leadership Forum Dinner in New York City. Past recipients of this award include President Bill Clinton,<br />
Secretaries of State Colin Powell and Madeleine Albright, and Secretary of Defense William Cohen.<br />
