Welcome to our literary arts magazine: Buzz-Worthy! Please enjoy our
magazine composed of literary work and art work created by students at
T. L. Hanna this school year. All of the following works were created for
specific assignments in an English or Art classroom. We are so excited to
be able to present some of our students' hard work!
Thank you to our faculty and staff for making this compilation possible.
Without our wonderful teachers, none of this could happen. Also, thank
you again to the students for all of the hard work they have put into their
education every day! We hope you enjoy our first edition of Buzz-Worthy!

2018 WEARABLE ART EXHIBITION
In February 2018 the community came to the Anderson Art Center for a creative
fundraiser and left with a lasting impression of TL Hanna?s Art department. Students and
local artists?collaborated together on the Wearable Art Exhibition and displayed an
assorted collection of wearable artwork. Items on display were broken up into five
categories: painted denim jackets, tie dye, cardboard masks, upcycle/recycle, and
steampunk.
Denim jackets made up the main body of the show?s artwork. These pieces were
modeled by their artists and later sold at the reception. The proceeds from these sales
went to TL Hanna?s Art department to fund student supplies and tools. Following the
painted jackets were the cardboard masks. These larger-than-life constructions were
vibrantly painted and unproportioned to the models?bodies. Later on, upcycle/recycle
stormed the staged in a wild display of outfits. The materials used to create these outfits
ranged from plastic bags to old film cards. At the very end, steampunk was sent out to
the catwalk. The inspiration for these final looks was sourced from Victorian
machinations.
Due to the Wearable Art Exhibition?s success, and the overwhelming support from the
community, TL Hanna will continue with this project again next year. Evolution is
necessary as we move forward? Here are a few pieces from our exhibit ion.
