MILFORD ON SEA MUSIC & ARTS FESTIVAL Milford on Sea Music and Arts Festival is returning for another year The week celebrates the musical and artistic talents from around the area. Featuring performances, workshops and exhibitions, the Festival has become a must-see event in the New Forest’s summer calendar and guarantees fun for all the family. This year’s theme is The Year of The Poppy, and there are on a host of events to commemorate one-hundred years since the end of World War One. “Remembered” is a show being hosted at the Community Centre on the 19 th and 20 th of July, containing the music, drama and comedy of the period. Throughout the week there are also historical walks and talks about what the village was like during wartime Britain, and other entertainment too. Please see the website for details of where you can get your tickets from. And this year the Guide Hut on Sea Road has been added as the venue for the kid’s play pen. Open to all ages and their parents, the kids zone provides age-appropriate entertainment for children as well as a place for parents to take a break. More details about the area can be found on our website or in the festival programmes ,which are only £3 to buy. The event is completely free to attend with the exemption of certain events, but you can support the continuation of the festival by purchasing one of our programmes. These are available from the following shops in the village: Hollands, Co-Op, Village News, Carrington Park, The Village Charity Shop and the Community Centre Box Office.
