A Message from your Co-Presidents . . .
We have accomplished many things this year including
Spirit Week, Reindeer Games, a Christmas dance,
Zodiac Days, and many more to come.
We are planning a spring dance, a gym blast for the
last afternoon of school before spring break and our
annual ‘Big Day’. It has been a successful year of
events and Zodiac Days, that have created such a
great spread of school spirit that we hope to carry
on until the end of the year!

Meet your Student Council
Talia Peters is a 17-year-old grade 12 student, hailing
from Winkler. She’s one of our grade 12 reps
and is a member of
the Events subcommittee.
Her favorite
subjects in
school are biology
and gym, which is no
surprise due to her
involvement in our
soccer, volleyball,
basketball, and track

school activities, she likes to play (you guessed it)
basketball. Talia also loves dogs; one of her talents
is being a dog whisperer. Her reason for being on
student council is so she can help the school and
the students who go here. Looking forward, Talia
would like to go to university and get a degree. Her
biggest accomplishment is not dropping out of high
school, and her real-life hero is her mom, as she’s
helped Talia become who she is, and is her biggest
inspiration. Talia would like to thank her grandparents,
and she would like us to know her dog’s name
is Dash and she loves him.
Meet Kezra Gerbrandt, Student Council’s treasurer
and member of the dance committee. Kezra is 18
years old and is in grade 12, and is also from Winkler.
She’s a part of our basketball and volleyball
teams, as well as Inversions Jazz Choir. Kezra’s favorite
subject is
chemistry, but
outside of school
she likes to play
piano and use
Tumblr. Kezra’s
real life hero is
Beyoncé. In the
future, she
would like to
attend the U of
M, and her biggest
accomplishment
so far is surviving high school. She’s on the
student council this year so she can be a part of the
school in her last year, and have a good time while
doing it. Kezra would like to thank the dog she
doesn’t have, and says to come to the dance!
