MOHAN’S INDIA SEMINAR AND VISUAL EXPERIENCE
Travel Scope Guides You Through A Paradoxical World
By Sari Freeman
A trip to India can seem daunting! Where to begin, where to go and who to
go to for help? Having a friend to take you by the hand is key! Mohan and
his team are the friends you need to plan a trip of a lifetime!
India is a true paradox! A world of extremes: the very rich, the very poor,
the latest in hi-tech amenities, yet many live without basics. Then, there are
so many different regions, sites, religions, dialects, and ancient history.
Our goal, at Passages of Distinction, is to educate you, the consultants so
that you feel well informed and therefore confident in selling our product.
This is why Brad and I felt it would be ideal to organize this seminar, when
Mohan, the owner of Travel Scope, was coming to town, to help develop
some excitement for
selling Incredible India.
Those who attended our
India 101 seminar, were
privy to the inside scoop
on how to plan a first
trip and more. Pranna, a
cool Asian fusion restaurant,
was the venue. The
first hour, we held class
then retreated to cocktails
with wonderful In-
dian hors d’oeuvres and
Jay Dorfman’s fabulous
exhibit of Indian portrait
photos!
India is Truly Fascinating
The seminar opened with a wow! Mohan played a fabulous video that had
recently been shot by Jay (a client, now friend) and narrated by Mohan’s
wife Shoba. It was a real celebration of India in all its colorful glory! Filmed
in Varanasi where you saw all different types of people, ceremonies, amazing
shots of children, older people, street people, holy people. This set the
stage and drew you into wanting to know more. India is truly fascinating!
Introducing The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore
The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore is prominently positioned in the heart
of Singapore’s Central Business District within The Fullerton Heritage precinct.
The hotel features a total of 100 rooms including five differently
themed suites and
a Presidential Suite.
Each room has an exclusive
balcony which
provides panoramic
views of the Singapore
skyline. In addition the
hotel has three fine din-
ing restaurants, Clifford,
The Landing Point, and
Lantern. Clifford is a
modern brasserie that
is perfect for anything from business lunches, afternoon teas to romantic
dinners. Clifford redefines dining by the bay. The Landing Point features a
42 foot long bar and a vast outdoor terrace that overlooks the bay. Lantern
Then Mohan got down to the details
with the aid of maps, demographics,
statistics and highlights of
the different regions. Everyone left
feeling confident that they were
far more well-informed than when
they entered the room! At the end
of the AV presentation, we asked
if there were questions. What happened
at that point was incredible,
out of 30 people attending, two
Gazing at Taj Mahal
individuals who had been on a
FAM trip
with me
last year, commented on the outstanding job that
Mohan does. Then one after another, five individuals
stood up and commented with glowing reports!!
Here are just two:
“I have traveled in India with many different ground
operators but I must admit that Travel Scope was
the best! The staff have such respect for Mohan and
this is a true sign of success”
From an owner of a prominent
Virtuoso agency
“The pre-eminent tour experts for all manner of travel
in and around India… they know this country inside
and out and can take you to edge and back or relax quietly on the periphery.
I produced this short travelogue to provide an overview but there’s no way
to wrap your wit around this awesome country unless you make the journey.
And don’t make the journey without at least consulting these folks. They have
never failed me.”
Jay Dorfman, photographer and videographer
It was a special moment. Everyone was excited to travel to India and send
travelers with or without Travel Scope. But why would you do it any other
way!!
