Ladies and Gentleman. Our country has come to a crossroad, and now you have the power to change the political landscape of Zimbabwe and the Vungu constituency (VC). As I have said time and time again, if you elect me to be your face in Parliament, there are several things I will do to ensure that your needs are met day in and day out across this land. My candidature as your MP and servant ship to the Vungu Constituency is guided by my Principals –the MDC Alliance. We have suffered for a long time and we have had enough of promises that have never come to be true for 38 years now. MDC Alliance has spoken and you now know what we are promising the people of Zimbabwe if voted into power on the 30 th of July 2018. In short, MDC Alliance’s SMART policy document is anchored on five key pillars: • SMART Governance, Nation Building and the Consensus State. • SMART Sustainable, Shared and Inclusive Economy. • SMART Citizen Rights, Interests and Protection. • SMART Social Justice and Delivery. • SMART Reconstruction and remodelling of the country’s infrastructure. I, Nimrod Lunga, a child of Lower Gwelo, who was born and grow up here in Makhulambila in Lower Gwelo understands all your problems and all your wishes. I am here to take you to the Promised Land, a Zimbabwe and a Lower Gwelo you have longed for in the last 38 years. I am committed to be your servant, I will do what you want me to do preserving all standard ethics – social, cultural and religious. Working together with all of you, what I will do for our Vungu Constituency is very simple as summarised below. With No doubt, Lower Gwelo has a potential to be a peri-urban constituency. With no doubt Lower Gwelo has lagged far behind in terms of development because of selfish leaders who have advanced their personal interests at the expense of us. During the past decade in Lower Gwelo there has been no meaningful development in terms of Roads, clinics, schools, jobs, farming, no bank , no post office , no industry just to mention but a few.
