About <strong>Avijit</strong> <strong>Sarkar</strong><br />
<strong>Avijit</strong> <strong>Sarkar</strong> is a polymath from<br />
Sydney, Australia. He is a musician,<br />
composer, multi-instrumentalist,<br />
illustrator, writer, poet, playwright,<br />
puppeteer, philanthropist and a<br />
mathematician .<br />
He has been endorsed by the<br />
Australian Performing Rights<br />
Association (APRA) as a music<br />
composer and has been entertaining<br />
audiences for over four decades with<br />
a wide variety of musical styles. He<br />
has been trained in puppetry by the<br />
internationally acclaimed puppeteer Meher Contractor.<br />
His first book – A Turn of Events – was published in<br />
Australia and his designs, illustrations and cartoons have<br />
appeared in many magazines and books. <strong>Avijit</strong> is the<br />
director Natraj Academy (a school of music) in Sydney that<br />
he established 11 years ago.<br />
Today all proceeds from his creative pursuits are donated<br />
to medical research and charity in Australia. In a career<br />
spanning over four decades, <strong>Avijit</strong> has left his footprint in<br />
every form of creativity in Australia.
