The exhibition ‘Grant Macdonald
International Silversmith’ at Goldsmiths
Hall celebrates Grant Macdonald’s
unrivalled contribution to the cultural
heritage not only of this country but of
numerous countries across the Arabian
Peninsula. The show explores his career
from the early years working for private
clients and stores such as Dunhill to the
extensive work that the company
produces for the City of London
including Chains of Office and Loving
Landing Falcon.

INTERNATIONAL SILVERSMITH
Grant Macdonald is a contemporary
British silversmit working in the heart of
Central London. Specialising in bespoke
silver and gold items of the highest
standard, the company received the
Queens Award for Enterprise in
International Trade in 2006 and the
appointment in 2016 of a Royal Warrant
as Goldsmiths & Silversmiths to
HRH The Prince of Wales is one of their
greatest honours.
The workshop produces precious metal
masterpieces using traditional
silversmithing techniques alongside the
very latest technology to create
one-of-a-kind creations that are collected
by individuals and institutions around the
world. Anything that can be made in gold
or silver is possible, sculptural objet,
clocks, ceremonial swords and regalia,
household silver as well as tableware
including fine bone china and crystal.
