grapes, the vine and other elements of the<br />
city of Maribor. The workshops represent<br />
the cultural heritage of the city.<br />
At Smetka, you can get the experience of<br />
home reuse. You can make useful items<br />
from waste materials: wallets from coffee<br />
bags, recycled gift packs, shopping bags<br />

everything around us is history: from<br />
outstanding architectural achievements to<br />
musical creations, fast urban development<br />
of the late 19th century and to the misery<br />
of the the First World War and the fatal<br />
outbreak for the Germans.<br />

German presence in Maribor, from the<br />
overthrow in 1918/19 to the occupation<br />
in 1941. The era of Germans was<br />
characterized by constant craving for the<br />
old and it finally experienced the rise with<br />
the arrival of the occupational forces of<br />
the Third Reich and Führer's visit.

Turbulent history left behind various<br />
stories. Although we do not see them,<br />
they can be tracked by traces and<br />
narratives. From violence to rebellion. On<br />
site lectures on the site that reveal the<br />
story on the site. Journey through history,<br />
from the burning of witches, Turkish<br />
incursions, Maribor bloody Sunday, the<br />
occupation of the city, the National<br />
Liberation War, to Maribor uprisings.<br />
The quiet and peaceful Drava river divides<br />
the city in two halves and in form its<br />
depths arise various stories. On our<br />
Timber Rafting Trail you can know the one<br />
about the wood rafters, who were the<br />
heads of the transport system on Drava.<br />

is still carefully preserved today by the<br />
Rafters from Maribor.

INDUSTRIAL ROMANTIC PATH<br />
For lovers of the old industrial heritage that dates back to the middle of the 19th<br />
century in Maribor. We will take a walk along the Oreško embankment to the core of the<br />
famous textile industry of Yugoslavia, look at the Maribor textile institute, as imagined<br />
by the industrialist Hutter, discover the former Meljina customs office, ascend the Intes<br />
silo, which as the highest object in Maribor offers a wonderful view, and concluded at the<br />
vintage Railway Station.

There are many tales hidden in Maribor. Well known, less known, old, scary, mysterious,<br />
entertaining and cheerful.<br />
