Since 1999 a group of culturally interested local people have been running the arts initiative KIKAS,
the program of which focuses on stand-up comedy and cinema, but also includes rock and pop music.
The festival lounge will offer them the possibility to extend their activities during the whole period of the
festival in the form of a temporary extra program for people living within the focal region. The program
includes a concert by the German pop formation Klee as a finale of the opening weekend, as well as
appearances by local DJs.

NEUFELDEN
A de-illumination concept
The street lighting in the public space of a village will be fitted with movement detectors. In the night
there will only be light where there is activity. The village will be darkened as a counter-proposal to
municipal lighting concepts. The advantages and disadvantages of the experiment will be documented
by the accompanying research.
