Fabric Info - Info Tissu Product properties of Acrylic Awning fabrics Awning fabrics are high performance products. However, even given the present state of the art and due to requirements of environmental protection, they can only be produced to a limited degree of perfection. Therefore, the producer can be confronted with complaints of no expert customers regarding certain effects which may occur in spite of highly sophisticated production and processing techniques. Such effects do not alter the value and useability of the product in any way. In order to avoid irritation and in the context of consumer information, we should like to draw your attention to the following properties: 1. wrinkles Occur during manufacture and folding of awning cloths. This may especially with bright colours cause certain effects on the surface of the cloth in the wrinkled area (dislocation of pigments) which may look darker (like stripes of dust) when seen against the light. They do not alter the value and useability of the blind. 2. chalk effect Brighter stripes occuring on finished products during processing which cannot always be totally avoided, even with great care. They are no reason for a complaint either. 3. water resistance Acrylic sunblind cloths are treated with a water repellent impregnation and resist a light, short shower. It has to be seen to it that the sunblind is sufficiently inclined (at least 15%) so that the rainwater can run off. For heavier or persistent showers the blinds must be rolled up in order to prevent damages. Blinds which have been rolled up in a wet state should be unrolled to dry as soon as possible. 4. waviness May occur in trim and sewing zones of the web due to the layer structure of the fabric and to the different winding thicknesses on the awning tube. The resulting tensions in the fabric may cause undulations (e.g. waffle or fishbone effect). 5. micro-holes on the canopies The acrylic fabric when used for the manufacture of canopies can give rise to the formation of micro-holes in correspondence with the folds of fabric that are formed due to the continuous mechanical action of opening and closing. As a matter of principle these effects occur in different degrees on nearly all awning materials. However they do not reduce the quality of the material in any way. Indépendamment du haut niveau technique actuel, leur perfection est limitée par les exigences concernant la protection de l’environnement. Certains phénomènes qui donnent parfois lieu à des réclamations de la part des consommateurs sont inévitables, malgré des techniques de production et de confection élaborées. De tels phénomènes ne diminuent en rien la qualité et l’efficacité du store. Afin d’éviter tout problème, nous aimerions attirer votre attention tout particulièrement sur les phénomènes suivants: 1. plis Ils se produisent pendant la confection et lors du pliage des toiles à stores. Des effets de marbure peuvent apparaître, plus foncés à contrejour (comme des salissures), spècialement pour les coloirs clairs. Ils ne diminuent en rien la qualité et l’efficacité du store. 2. marques blanches Il s’agit de traces claires qui apparaissent lors de la manipulation de la toile finie et qui ne peuvent pas toujours être évitées, même avec toutes les prècautions nécessaires. Ellles ne peuvent non plus donner lieu à réclamation. 3. résistance à la pluie Les toiles acryliques ont subi un traitement hydrofuge et résistent à une pluie légère et de courte durée. Il est très important que le store soit suffisamment incliné (15% au minimum) pour que l’eau de pluie puisse s’écoler. En cas de pluie forte ou prolongée, le store doit être enroulé pour éviter tout dommage et déroulé dès que possible pour le faire sécher. 4. gaufrage Au niveau des ourlets, des coutures et des lés, plusieurs épaisseurs de tissu sur la barre d’enroulement peuvent provoquer des tensions qui produisent des ondulations (gaufrage ou chevrons). 5. micro-trous dans les stores corbeilles La toile à store en acrylique utilisée pour la confection des stores corbeilles peut donner lieu à la formation des micro-trous au niveau des plis du tissu qui se forment en raison de l’action mécanique continue lors du pliage de la toile à stores. En principe, ces effets plus ou moins prononcés se produisent sur tous les toiles de les stores.
