Some people think that we should give until it hurts.
However, true stewards give until it feels right. Our
giving feels right when we know that we can stand
before God when He comes in His glory and say to
Him, “Lord, I gave all that You asked me to give.”

HUMAN DEVELOPMENT CAMPAIGN
The Church’s love for the poor...is a part of her constant tradition” (Catechism of the Catholic Church, No.
2444). The Collection for the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) provides funding for
groups that create lasting change and uplift the poor in the United States. In the last five years, over 36% of
CCHD’s grants have gone toward advancing education, supporting economic development, and improving
housing in low-income neighborhoods. You can help participate in this tradition today. Fight poverty in

Thank You Notes
A special thanks to Team co-captains Julie Conrey,
Jan McCarthy, and Julie Zamberlan and all the
members of Funeral Outreach Team K for preparing
and delivering the delicious meal for the Kohlberg
Family. Also extra appreciation goes to Team K
who took an extra turn to do this luncheon and Judy
Urbas who coordinated the collection of the food and
did the setting up at the family home. May God
continue to bless each of you as you do this
important parish ministry.
A special thanks to the substitutes from Funeral
Outreach Team A that prepared the delicious
desserts for the Kujawa family. May God continue
to bless each of you as you generously give of your
time and your talents to help other parishioners in
their time of sorrow.

The Food Pantry is in need of a few items. Toilet
paper, paper towels, hamburger helper, dish liquid,
children’s cereals such as frosted flakes, fruit loops,
captain crunch etc., vegetable soup. Thank you for

ST. CLARE SCHOOL
The arts and sciences are alive at St. Clare
of Assisi. The seventh and eighth graders
attended the performance of Joseph and
the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at St.
Joseph's Academy High School in October. The fifth
graders have begun their four separate learning
sessions at the St. Louis Art Museum running
through mid-November.
The Planetarium came to St. Clare to teach space to
the first graders.
Also, a fireman, Mr. Haefer, came to school to speak
with the fist graders about fire safety. And a big
congratulations go to the first graders who are now
attending weekly Mass on Thursdays!
The third graders presented their Parade of Saints
on October 29th while the second graders received
their First Reconciliation. Congratulations!
ORGANIZATIONS
St. Clare of Assisi
Knights of Columbus Council
Receives Top International Award
The St. Clare of Assisi Knights of Columbus Council
has earned the distinction of Double Star Council for
2011-2012 for the unprecedented second
consecutive year. The organization’s headquarters
in Connecticut made the announcement. The
award recognizes overall excellence in membership
recruitment, retention, and sponsorship of serviceoriented
activities. Less than 1% of the Councils
have received this award and extremely few earn
the distinction of consecutive awards. The award
was presented at a special ceremony held on
November 6, 2012. “Receiving the Double Star
Council Award is quite an honor for us. We’re
extremely proud of this accomplishment,”
proclaimed Ken Kohlberg, head of St. Clare Council
and past membership chairman, Jim Swieca.
KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS
All Catholic men, 18 and over, are eligible
to become members of the Knights of
Columbus. If interested, contact John Lindley

Childers (636.394.8644). The Knights meet on the
third Tuesday of each month in the art room of the
school at 7:00pm. Refreshments are served. Stop

St. Clare YOUTH MINISTRY
All High Schoolers and SCAYM Alumni are invited to
our Thanksgiving Feast THIS SUNDAY (11/18) after
the 5pm Mass. Please bring the following for our
