Twenty-Ninth Sunday in Ordinary Time October 21, 2012 “For the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve and to give His life as a ransom for many.” (Mark 10:45) Jesus came on this earth to serve. Anyone who wishes to follow Him must also be willing to give time, talent and treasure to serve God’s people, just as Jesus gave His very life for us. True disciples are true stewards, giving service and sacrifice, just as Jesus taught us to do. Fish Fry Committee: Each Friday evening during Lent (except Good Friday), a fish fry is prepared in Dollard Hall for the community. This Athletic Association fundraiser benefits the parish. Regular volunteers are needed to help prepare, set-up and serve for these six parish events.
