Jofebar is portuguese company that was established
in 1986 as a steel and aluminium workshop. It is, since 2004, a
specialized manufacturer of minimal window systems and owns
the swiss brand PanoramAH!®, since 2008. The company has
been merged with a glass fabricator and it has, as of today, full
industrial facilities that allow a unique competitive advantage on
its own business field.
The group employs about 250 workers and it has a
specialized team of 30 Architects and Engineers specialized in
minimal window systems and metalworks solutions. With an
exceptionally motivated and experienced team, Jofebar has had
a sustainable growth and is currently present, directly or through
its network of speacialized partners, in more than 50 countries.
Some of the most high-profile projects in Jofebar’s
portfolio include OMA’s Casa da Musica in Oporto, Francisco
Mangado’s Spanish Pavilion in Zaragoza, Paredes Pedrosa’s
Ceuta’s Library, John Pawson’s W Hotel in Jaffa, Souto Moura’s
Hilton Hotel in Óbidos, Lacaton Vassal Hotel Lacoste in Dakar and
David Chipperfield’s Ortakoy Hotel in Istambul.

The construction of a new cruise terminal
is a project in which the Port Authority bid
to boost the cruise industry in the northern
region of Portugal. It is an investment of
49.75M Euros. The new terminal is located
on the South Mole, just 3 km from the city
of Oporto. The project also included the
construction of a building where the location
of the Departments of Production Science
(experimental laboratories and offices)
and the future of Science Communication
Science and Technology Park of the Sea, in
which Jofebar SA is paricipating. This is the
largest project ever of the Port Authority.
