Refuse Basics
All garbage must be in a plastic bag.
Bags must be 32 gallons or smaller & weigh less than 50
pounds.
Limit is six 32-gallon cans, or equal.
If you use a can, 32 gallon is the largest size can acceptable.
All garbage must still be in bags.
Put garbage out by 7:00 AM.
Garbage should be put out no more than 12 hours before
pick up day.
Garbage can “racks” cannot have a vertical lift of more
than one foot.
Garbage can holding bins are not permitted.
RECYCLING
Newspapers, magazines, junk mail, brown paper bags,
cereal boxes, soda boxes and cardboard are accepted
and they must be in brown paper bags or bundled and
tied in 2’ x 2’ bundles.
Glass, tin, aluminum and #1 & #2 plastic bottles and
cans should be rinsed and must be placed loose in
your recycle bin co-mingled (mixed together).
DUMP SITE INFORMATION
Large items, junk, stumps, yard waste and garbage may be
dropped off at 2411 Cleveland Avenue. The hours are
Wednesdays, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM and
Sat. from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM—Closed Saturdays Jan—April
$5 fee per Vehicle, Plus $5.00 for single Axle trailer $10.00 for
double axle trailer.
Items not accepted at the dump site include roofing, tar paper, paint,
white goods, tires and bricks, blocks or rocks & microwaves and wood
waste (except for trees & brush).
Yard Waste/Brush
June 2018
Yard waste and Brush should be put out
on Monday of designated week by 7:00
AM to be picked up during the week, or
may be dropped off at the city dump 24
hour drop off site.
No charge for yardwaste or brush, but you
must have a City Services Card.
Yard waste must be in a paper yard waste
bag or in a 32-gallon or less garbage can
with a “Yard Waste” sticker on it.
“Yard Waste” stickers are available at City
Hall, 1905 Hall Avenue. There is no
charge for the stickers.
Stickers must face towards the road or
alley.
There is a 50 pound weight limit on yard
waste.
Yard waste consists of small twigs, grass
clippings, garden debris or leaves.
COMPOST
Compost is loaded on Saturdays only between the
hours of 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM for city residents.

Accepted Electronic Items & charges are as follows:
Computer Tower/CPU $5.00
Laptop Computer $5.00
Printer $5.00
VCR, DVD, Tape Player $5.00
Monitor $10.00
Stereo Receiver $10.00
TV 27” or less $15.00
TV greater than 27” $25.00
Cell phones/keyboards/mice No charge
The cost for recycling electronics will be
deducted from your City Services Card.
JUNK PICK UP
Put out on Monday of Junk Pick-Up week by
7:00 AM for pick up during the week.
Limit 6 garbage bags or cans.
50# Weight limit per container.
Large-item pick-up service is available for
$10.00 per item, payable at the Civic Center,
