Refuse Basics<br />
All garbage must be in a plastic bag.<br />
Bags must be 32 gallons or smaller & weigh less than 50<br />
pounds.<br />
Limit is six 32-gallon cans, or equal.<br />
If you use a can, 32 gallon is the largest size can acceptable.<br />
All garbage must still be in bags.<br />
Put garbage out by 7:00 AM.<br />
Garbage should be put out no more than 12 hours before<br />
pick up day.<br />
Garbage can “racks” cannot have a vertical lift of more<br />
than one foot.<br />

Garbage can holding bins are not permitted.<br />
RECYCLING<br />
Newspapers, magazines, junk mail, brown paper bags,<br />
cereal boxes, soda boxes and cardboard are accepted<br />
and they must be in brown paper bags or bundled and<br />
tied in 2’ x 2’ bundles.<br />
Glass, tin, aluminum and #1 & #2 plastic bottles and<br />
cans should be rinsed and must be placed loose in<br />
your recycle bin co-mingled (mixed together).<br />
DUMP SITE INFORMATION<br />
Large items, junk, stumps, yard waste and garbage may be<br />
dropped off at 2411 Cleveland Avenue. The hours are<br />
Wednesdays, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM and<br />
Sat. from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM—Closed Saturdays Jan—April<br />
$5 fee per Vehicle, Plus $5.00 for single Axle trailer $10.00 for<br />
double axle trailer.<br />
Items not accepted at the dump site include roofing, tar paper, paint,<br />
white goods, tires and bricks, blocks or rocks & microwaves and wood<br />
waste (except for trees & brush).<br />

Yard Waste/Brush<br />
June 2018<br />
Yard waste and Brush should be put out<br />
on Monday of designated week by 7:00<br />
AM to be picked up during the week, or<br />
may be dropped off at the city dump 24<br />
hour drop off site.<br />
No charge for yardwaste or brush, but you<br />
must have a City Services Card.<br />
Yard waste must be in a paper yard waste<br />
bag or in a 32-gallon or less garbage can<br />
with a “Yard Waste” sticker on it.<br />
“Yard Waste” stickers are available at City<br />
Hall, 1905 Hall Avenue. There is no<br />
charge for the stickers.<br />
Stickers must face towards the road or<br />
alley.<br />
There is a 50 pound weight limit on yard<br />
waste.<br />
Yard waste consists of small twigs, grass<br />
clippings, garden debris or leaves.<br />
COMPOST<br />
Compost is loaded on Saturdays only between the<br />
hours of 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM for city residents.<br />
Electronics Recycling<br />
Accepted Electronic Items & charges are as follows:<br />
Computer Tower/CPU $5.00<br />
Laptop Computer $5.00<br />
Printer $5.00<br />
VCR, DVD, Tape Player $5.00<br />
Monitor $10.00<br />
Stereo Receiver $10.00<br />
TV 27” or less $15.00<br />
TV greater than 27” $25.00<br />
Cell phones/keyboards/mice No charge<br />
The cost for recycling electronics will be<br />
deducted from your City Services Card.<br />

Limit 6 garbage bags or cans.<br />
50# Weight limit per container.<br />
Large-item pick-up service is available for<br />
$10.00 per item, payable at the Civic Center,<br />
