GEELONG CAMPUSES<br />
The prayer room at the Waurn Ponds campus has<br />
separate washing facilities for men and women,<br />
as well as separate salaah facilities. It is equipped<br />
with prayer mats, slippers and also offers<br />
refrigeration, microwave tea/coffee facilities.<br />
The prayer room is managed by the Muslim<br />
Students Association (MSA). The security<br />
codes to enter the prayer room at the Geelong<br />
Campuses can be obtained at the Deakin<br />
International office and Student Life at the<br />
relevant campus.<br />
Prayer time tables could be obtained at the<br />
Geelong Mosque for a small surcharge which will<br />
be contributed to the maintenance of the mosque<br />
or can be printed from www.icv.org.au.<br />

The Deakin cafeterias at the Geelong campuses<br />
offer one hot halal meal per day, which may<br />
be red meat or chicken. Halal meals are clearly<br />
displayed with a halal symbol at the counter.<br />
Please ask staff to clarify if it is not clear.<br />
Vegetarian options are also usually available.<br />
Students intending to stay at the Residences at<br />
the Waurn Ponds campus should notify them of<br />
any special dietary needs. It is the responsibility<br />
of each Muslim individual to check and verify that<br />
the meals are halal.<br />

Although there are no halal food outlets or<br />
restaurants in Warrnambool, some halal products<br />
are available from local supermarkets. Please<br />
contact the ISA in Deakin International at the<br />
