Easy <strong>Steps</strong> <strong>To</strong> <strong>Set</strong> <strong>Up</strong> <strong>An</strong> <strong>Employee</strong> <strong>In</strong><br />

<strong>Quickbooks</strong> <strong>For</strong> <strong>Direct</strong> <strong>Deposit</strong>


If you wish to set up candidates on QuickBooks for a direct<br />

deposit then you must have their account details and their<br />

permission too.<br />

Let’s start the process:<br />

• Do one of the following things:<br />

1. Open <strong>In</strong>tuit Online Payroll, select Taxes and <strong>For</strong>ms and then,<br />

click <strong>Employee</strong> <strong>Set</strong>up.<br />

2. <strong>In</strong> QBs Online Payroll, click Taxes> Payroll Tax and then select<br />

<strong>Employee</strong> <strong>Set</strong>up under the section of <strong>For</strong>ms.


• Go to Bank Verification under the option of Authorization for<br />

<strong>Direct</strong> <strong>Deposit</strong>.<br />

• Select View and then print t copy for each employee.<br />

After this, ask each candidate to fill the form. When this is done,<br />

enter the bank account information for employees by following these<br />

guidelines:<br />

<strong>In</strong>tuit Online Payroll:<br />

• Open the software and go to the top bar to select <strong>Employee</strong>s<br />

tab.


• Select the pay method option and on the Bank information<br />

page, choose the method of payment by which they want to<br />

receive it.<br />

• Now, type the account numbers and routing from the<br />

candidate’s check or checks, then click OK button.<br />

• Select Edit button if you wish to edit some details.<br />

• Click Agree if you have received the employee’s permission to<br />

deposit their paychecks.


QuickBooks Payroll<br />

• Open the software and click workers from the left menu.<br />

• Go to <strong>Employee</strong>s option and select any one candidate name<br />

from the list.<br />

• Click Edit and then select Pencil icon under “How do you want<br />

to pay this employee?”<br />

• Choose the method of payment and then enter the account<br />

number and routing.


• <strong>To</strong> separate the payment, you have to enter the amount to add<br />

in the first account. The remnants will be added to the second<br />

account or paid by check.<br />

• Click OK.<br />
