Project Brief & Design Rationale<br />
The newly built hotel <strong>Impiana</strong> <strong>Hotel</strong> in <strong>Senai</strong> was intended to bring new excitement and hospitality services<br />
to the current township.<br />
The owner targets to provide all round services and facilities to guests, especially professionals from major<br />
electronics manufacturers around. From front desk service, in-room services, F&B outlets, and functions facilities,<br />
the hotel targets to capture all requirement and needs by the business group which covers majority of<br />
the hotel targeted guests.<br />
<strong>Impiana</strong> <strong>Hotel</strong> <strong>Senai</strong> is equipped with 172 guest rooms, a ballroom which can cater up to 250 pax, function<br />
rooms, swimming pool and lounge, premier lounge spaces that cater to various needs - be it for business,<br />
lifestyle, family or private, the hotel is to be a new destination for all target groups. The building facade is<br />
required to design with modern and sleek outlook, aims to out stand from the low rise township surrounded,<br />
and to embark the township with a new landmark as a pro-business destination. Facilities and services<br />
provided are far exceeding expectation, which the building facilitate with a coffee house, hi-tea lounge,<br />
ballroom for 250 pax, 3 convertible meeting rooms, gym, a reflexology spa, sky lounge and business area<br />
within space less than 4000 sqm. While guests are pampered with well-equipped hotel rooms, with all<br />
in-room amenities, toiletries as well as the IHRM’s specialty – the pillow menu.<br />
The design has chosen a subtle and neutral palette which flow the ambience from entrance up to the guest<br />
rooms. The main lobby greeted guests with a tint of luxe with large surface of reflective materials, blend in<br />
usage of natural wood veneers. Similar scheme was carried throughout the hotel common areas; the top<br />
floor which is the premier sky lounge, offering to club members extends the coziness and exclusiveness to<br />
VIP guests.<br />
<strong>Impiana</strong> <strong>Hotel</strong> <strong>Senai</strong> provides an exclusive staying experience to the guests, sitting in a township with majority<br />
low rise development. It serves as a landmark to <strong>Senai</strong>, which lead guests from the <strong>Senai</strong> International<br />
Airport and connects to the Johor Bahru City Centre. The hotel is designed as a stoppoint with lavish hospitality<br />
services and design.<br />
We believe designing for the needs and designing practically are the most important factors in Hospitality<br />
Design as it will deliver the impression and experience to guests throughout their stays. Providing an appropriate<br />
design in reflect to the context is important in order to give contribution to the users, to the development,<br />
and township. It should serves as an identity not only through the appearance, but most importantly,<br />
the experience.<br />
