Cantilever Board
This patented head and neck device is revolutionary in that it seamlessly integrates
shoulder depression. Prior to the development of the AccuFix Cantilever Board, therapists
tried to depress the patient’s shoulders with ropes or straps or by using large
costly pieces of thermoplastic. These older techniques were unreliable by
today’s standards and often required two or more technicians.
The device’s unique cantilever design allows for 360-degree
treatment with minimal attenuation. The fully adjustable
carbon fiber Bear-Claw Shoulder Depression System is
designed to increase setup repeatability and reduce patient
motion without requiring large sheets of thermoplastic
over the shoulders.
Since its inception, the Cantilever Board has become one of the most
popular products in our AccuFix line of carbon fiber patient positioning devices.
The AccuFix Cantilever Board is used daily, in hundreds of cancer centers all over the world
including four of the Top Ten US News’ 2006 “Best Hospitals for Cancer.”
Adapters are available to mount the Cantilever Board to treatment tables and position
the board in a fixed and repeatable location to prevent tipping that can occur with other
headboards.

Tilt-Pro Tilting Base
Prone CSA Kit
This device greatly simplifies the molding of
prone masks. The kit includes everything
needed to use your Tilt-Pro Base for Prone Cranial
Spinal Axis (CSA) treatment, including a molding
fixture (for forming the prone mask), prone mask
foam (to cushion the prone mask), and Double-High White
Nylon Swivel Locks (for securing two masks at once).
The Tilt-Pro Tilting Base allows precise angling of the head in
both prone and supine treatments to avoid critical structures. The
Tilt-Pro adapts easily to most treatment tabletops, simulator
and CT tables. It is designed for one-step molding, positioning,
and indexing of Aquaplast RT and Fibreplast
U-Frame masks. Indexable channel arms allow
adjustments from 0 to 30 degrees, in 5-degree
increments.
Optional 45-degree channel brackets are
also available.
The Tilt-Pro Tilting Base uses traditional
or Slimline disposable U-Frames,
Silverman Head Supports, and MOLDCARE ®
Head Cushions. Quick-release swivel locks allow
emergency patient release.

MOLDCARE ® IMRT Head Cushion
The MOLDCARE ® cushion provides customized head support. Patient comfort is a critical
component of patient positioning. The cushion is composed
of a soft fabric bag containing expanded
polystyrene beads coated in a moisturecured
resin. When activated with
water, the pillow becomes rigid,
conforming to the contours of the
patient’s head and neck. It can
be used alone or on a Silverman
‘M’ Head Support to create the
most comfortable and
repeatable head support
available.

Our exclusive low-profile design allows the occiput to rest below the
top plane of the board. By lowering the patient’s head, the mask
is stretched a shorter distance during the molding process.
