FOREWORD<br />
‘<strong>Fold</strong>-a-Book’ is a series of <strong>book</strong>s written for the introductory year(s) of<br />
education. The <strong>book</strong>s introduce basic concepts that children require at this<br />
age, in a fun, activity-based manner, as well as providing the child with<br />
a record of his or her own achievement in <strong>book</strong>let form.<br />
The pages in <strong>Fold</strong>-a-Book are designed so that on completion of the four<br />
activities on each page, the work is folded into a small <strong>book</strong>let, which can<br />
be the child’s record and form a collection of achievements.<br />
The <strong>My</strong> <strong>Alphabet</strong> <strong>Fold</strong>-a-Book is written to provide a basic introduction to<br />
the letters of the alphabet and can be used in isolation, as an integral part<br />
of the formal Ianguage program, or as home activities. So that the correct<br />
printing/writing style is provided, teachers are required to draw in the<br />
specific script used in their school where indicated on the worksheets<br />
before photocopying.<br />
